  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • Learning assessment is seen in different ways, depending on the teaching model considered. In the traditional perspective, there is a predominance of the summative, classificatory aspect. From the constructivist perspective, it is an uninterrupted diagnosis, which occurs throughout the teaching-learning process and provides changes in it, being considered, therefore, a dynamic process. During graduation in the Dentistry course at the Federal University of Alagoas, this author identified a great appreciation of the quantitative (summative) aspect. But does this perspective hold today? Is the method used aimed at ensuring full learning? Is there evaluative feedback? In an attempt to better understand this process, it is necessary to question how the evaluation and feedback process occurs, in this graduation, based on the curricular matrix and Course Plans of the disciplines. Therefore, this research aimed to know the perspective of evaluation present in the Course Pedagogical Project (PPC) of the Dentistry Course, as well as the evaluation methods used in the undergraduate disciplines, through the analysis of their Course Plans. With this analysis, we sought to identify the learning assessment process contained in the curricular matrix of the Dentistry course, to investigate the presence of evaluative feedback, to verify the most used types of evaluation, to describe the most frequent evaluation instruments and to observe the alignment of the evaluation with the learning objectives of the specific disciplines. When analyzing the teaching objectives, a course more focused on practice was identified, with a great diversity of active methodologies, concentrated in some disciplines. Regarding the evaluative instruments, there is a greater emphasis on evaluating “showing how to do it” and “doing it”. In addition, it was found that most Course Plans refer to a continuous, procedural assessment. As for feedback, self-evaluation and subject evaluation, forty-two Course Plans did not show evidence of any of these categories.

  • The integration between knowledge and practice is a pillar of multi-professional health residencies (RMS), where the resident, through application of the knowledge acquired throughout their academic training, have the opportunity to practice their profession under the supervision of a preceptor/tutor. During the RMS, some practice scenarios occur in the hospital units, an environment that is conducive to testing knowledge regarding prevention of care-associated infections (HAIs). These infections are adverse events in health services, which can be reduced by adoption of good practices, prevention, and control measures within the scope of the hospital. This Academic Course Completion Work (TACC) of the Professional Master's Degree in Health Education (MPES) from the Faculty of Medicine/FAMED of the Federal University of Alagoas (UFAL), had as general objective to assess residents’ knowledge about safety measures prevention of healthcare-related infections. It is a descriptive, case study type, with a qualitative methodological approach. We utilized a similar instruction technique, carried out in 2022. The results of this study showed that some residents feel safe to act in prevention and infection control, while others reported insecurity regarding procedures for the prevention and control of health-related infections. The following products were produced: scientific article entitled “Residents’ knowledge of infection prevention measures related to health care in the multidisciplinary residency”; products educational technicians; courseware; educational video; a workshop pedagogical using pedagogical cycles.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • This Academic Course Conclusion Work (TACC) from the Professional Master's Program in Health Teaching (MPES) at the Faculty of Medicine (FAMED) of the Federal University of Alagoas (UFAL) addresses the integration between education and health services as a strategy for professional qualification in the Unified Health System (SUS). In the first part, the TACC includes a scientific article on "The Influence of the Mental Health Care Course in Primary Care on the performance of Healthcare Professionals during the COVID-19 pandemic." The COVID-19 pandemic has brought about significant changes in society and in the work processes of healthcare professionals, such as the increased use of digital tools. Faced with this challenging scenario, professionals have had to adapt to meet the growing demand, encountering not only the fear of contagion but also exhaustive workloads. This situation often compromised their own health care, both physical and mental. The preparation and development of healthcare professionals within the SUS are priorities for state health managers. Continuous Education is essential for professionals, who frequently face new and complex challenges. The growing concern about the mental health of the Brazilian population and the formulation of policies in this regard are trends already present before the pandemic. The motivation for this research arose from the researcher's professional experience, who worked for over a decade in mental health management in Alagoas. As the originator, content provider, and tutor of the course, the guiding question of the research emerged, facilitating the creation of the general objective of this study: to analyze the influence of the Mental Health Care course in Primary Care in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic on the performance of healthcare professionals in municipalities of Alagoas. The course, conducted in the distance learning mode between October and December 2021, was made available on the educ@sesau platform of the State Department of Health (SESAU). This research is a descriptive Case Study with a qualitative approach. The course was offered for free, with a total duration of 88 hours, distributed over 8 modules. Activities were conducted asynchronously and synchronously. Ten healthcare professionals from different areas, originating from municipalities in Alagoas, who met the inclusion criteria and agreed to participate, signed the Informed Consent Form (ICF). Data collection involved two stages: document analysis and online focus group. In document analysis, documents from the course platform, including the curriculum matrix and application projects, were used. The online focus group took place on Google Meet, mediated by a facilitator. Content analysis was the methodology adopted to examine the information obtained during data collection, employing Bardin's thematic or categorical analysis technique, revealing two main categories with corresponding subcategories. In the second part, two educational products were developed in response to the results obtained: the "PodSUSpirar" podcast and the "PodSUSpirar" Instagram. Both educational strategies have the same name to allow an association between them. It is essential to maintain a focus on promoting mental health and strengthening the SUS. Despite the challenges faced, developing different strategies, such as promoting Continuous Education practice, enables professional improvement and practice change, allowing universal access to more humane and qualified health services. It is hoped that this research will inspire the search for new ways to promote educational processes that integrate teaching with health services, also encouraging scientific production in this area.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • The need for the training of health human resources, especially in Nursing Graduation, aimed at the requirements of the SUS reinforced the importance of articulation between Higher Education and Health. Higher Education Institutions – HEIs had to reorient the student training process in search of academic and professional profile with skills and abilities that could support the training of critical-reflective professionals. The Supervised Curricular Internship assumed an important role in the training of undergraduates, effecting the integration of quality human actions in nursing. The School Health Program - PSE, an intersectoral policy – Education and Health, created in 2007 proposes a health care model that contributes to the comprehensive training of schoolchildren in the basic network, through prevention, promotion and health care actions. The nurse, a member of the healthcare team, must participate effectively in the planning and development of the PSE. The proposed health education aims to innovate teaching and learning processes and the articulation of services for intervention in the health-disease process. Therefore, this research aimed to understand the perception of undergraduate Nursing students about the PSE, through the integration of Teaching, Health and Community, making it relevant to know the view of Nursing students on the themes and actions developed by the program , as well as the contributions of PSE to the professional training of these students. This is a case study, with a qualitative approach, in which data collection was a focus group interview with 10 (ten) undergraduate Nursing students from the 9th period at Faculdade Cesmac do Sertão, in the city of Palmeira. dos Índios/AL. After confirming the invitation, the date and time were defined, and the link was sent to participants to access the online Focus Group room, which was held on January 30, 2023. For data analysis, the data analysis method was used. Bardin's content, divided into three stages: pre-analysis; exploration of the material; treatment of results, inference and interpretation. After the analysis, 2 (two) categories of analysis were established: 1) Knowledge and Development of the PSE; and 2) Integration of Teaching, Service and Community in Professional Training. In the first category, 4 (four) subcategories were identified: knowledge about the PSE, carrying out PSE activities, actors involved in the activities, difficulties and challenges in planning and developing the activities. The results show that the students participating in the research have knowledge about the PSE, developed program activities during the Supervised Curricular Internship, which they consider important for professional training, as well as reporting recognizing the importance of engaging health and education professionals and parents, and the difficulties and challenges in planning and developing activities, one of which is the lack of materials for developing actions at school. Based on the results, an e-book entitled “Themes of the School Health Program (PSE)” was created as an educational product, targeting teenagers. The e-book includes all the topics recommended by the Ministry of Health – MS to be developed in the school environment and monitor the health conditions of students in the basic education network through guidelines, strengthening the confrontation of vulnerabilities that may compromise school development. This e-book aims to publicize, provide and socialize information on PSE topics, providing students and health professionals with digital material with information for planning and developing PSE actions. Thus, this study brought the knowledge of undergraduate Nursing students about the PSE, proposing a critical-reflective training of students to solve health problems in the school community through the integration of teaching, health and community, as a change in the attitude of professionals health, education and health students at UBS in the development of PSE actions.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • Introduction: The adoption of active methodologies for undergraduate students suggests a paradigm shift, where the educator is not merely a transmitter of knowledge but an encourager of the student's curiosity, stimulating the pursuit of knowledge. In these approaches, the student plays an active and central role in the learning process, not merely a passive recipient of information to be absorbed. Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) is embedded within the context of active methodologies, as it encourages students to seek solutions to the problems they face in their daily lives. This methodology has the potential to promote understanding of social phenomena and the development of scientific skills such as procedural knowledge, reasoning, and communication, among others. The Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) method involves approaching content through problems, in a shared journey between students and educators who explore and question phenomena in a structured and systematic manner, aiming to make learning meaningful and relevant. Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) is implemented through teaching activities known as Investigative Teaching Sequences (ITS), which are didactic proposals aimed at developing scientific content or themes through different investigative activities. Curricular internships are mandatory activities in which students develop essential competencies and skills for professional practice, representing an important moment of preparation for their future professional actions in the face of social demands. In Service research, these investigations are an important part of the professional posture, integrating technical and operative skills of the social worker. Among the various issues experienced within the Maternity context is the problem of underreporting of Birth Registration, which is essential for ensuring citizenship rights from the earliest moments of neonates' lives, as it opens doors to access various essential public policies such as health, education, and social assistance. Despite this, it is concerning to observe that many women, even with the free and available service at HUPAA/UFAL, fail to register their newborns. The study reflects on educational practices that promote the intern student's role as the protagonist of teaching and learning, considering their skills and prior knowledge about the surrounding reality, as well as the development of scientific skills through the implementation of the Inquiry-Based Learning method. The work consists of 2 articles. In the first article: DIGITAL REFLECTIVE PORTFOLIO IN INQUIRY-BASED 8 LEARNING: an analysis in the context of curricular internship in social work; the aim was to evaluate the learning obtained by the students through the application process of the IBL methodology, and another function of this tool was to stimulate, assist in reflections, and in the writing of knowledge acquired from the execution of the Investigative Teaching Sequences (ITS), developed in the research project. In the second article: INQUIRY-BASED TEACHING AND CURRICULAR INTERNSHIP IN SOCIAL WORK: a possible meeting. aimed to explore the contributions of the active teaching methodology Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) regarding the problem of underreporting of birth registration, with students of the Social Work course during supervised curricular internship in Social Work. Objective: To explore the contributions of Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) regarding the problem of underreporting of birth registration, during supervised curricular internship in Social Work. Methodology: This is a research with qualitative methods, descriptive, exploratory, and diagnostic in nature. The methodological perspective to be adopted will be action research, which is characteristic of this methodological perspective to provide participants with conditions to search for solutions to a problem presented within a certain social context, providing conditions for changes in the experienced reality. The Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) approach will be used in this action research, with the supervisor of the field/researcher and the students who will be experiencing the practice reality, intervening on it from a change perspective. The teaching methodology of IBL, developed through four (04) Investigative Teaching Sequences (ITS). The Investigative Teaching Sequence (ITS) is a didactic proposal aimed at developing scientific content or themes through different investigative activities. The ITS will be used in the following activities: ITS-1, Digital Reflective Portfolio, (developed in the digital tool Padlet); ITS 2-Systematic Documental Research, ITS-3 Diagnostic Field Research, and ITS-4- Integrative Systematic Review. Data collection took place between June and December 2023, where students developed the 4 (four) Investigative Teaching Sequences (ITS), proposed to investigate the sub-registry of birth registration in the public Maternity. For the elaboration of the Digital Reflective Portfolio (ITS1), students received guidance and systematic monitoring for the portfolio realization through group discussions that took place in person. ITS 2 (systematic documental research of diagnostic character aimed to lead intern students to understand the problem of underreporting birth 9 registration at HUPAA/UFAL, for this step, the following technical visits were made: visit1: Service point of the Civil Registry Office, located within HUPAA, in order to collect the number of Birth Registrations referring to the years from January 2017 to December 2022; visit 2: Billing Department of HUPAA/UFAL, to collect the number of Civil Birth Registrations billed during the years 2017 to 2022. In ITS 2, the data obtained from the Diagnostic Research were exposed in a table and analyzed individually by participant, ITS-3- Field Research: Integrative Systematic Review, describes a bibliographic review (secondary research), of the integrative systematic type, of qualitative nature systematic documental research, the selection of articles used in this mapping involved the selection of keywords, search terms, and inclusion criteria to identify studies to be later evaluated and included in the mapping. It is a bibliographic review (secondary research), of the integrative systematic type, of qualitative nature, with inclusion criteria (full text available for free, such as: original and review articles; publications from 2000 to 2022) and exclusion (repeated articles and those that do not cover the themes that deal with underreporting birth registration). Scans were performed in virtual libraries (CAPES Periodicals, Scielo, BVS, Wiley, and Science direct) from the crossing of the following descriptors (Portuguese and English) through Boolean operator (AND), constituting the following search strings: a) underreporting (DeCS Identifier: 16129; Mesh ID: DDCS016129) AND Birth registration (DeCS Identifier: 36396; Mesh ID: DDCS036396); b) underregistration AND Birth Registration. ITS 3 was developed in a virtual environment, through the Google Meet platform, and counted on the participation of all study participants. ITS 4-Collection of Diagnostic Field Research aimed to obtain information directly from the population of postpartum women hospitalized in the HUPAA/UFAL Maternity, requiring the intern researchers, intern students, direct contact with the interviewees in the space where the phenomenon occurs, a set of information about the studied problem was collected through the application of a semi-structured questionnaire that aimed to investigate the reasons why postpartum women do not perform the birth registration document. The semi-structured questionnaire instrument used by students for data collection was developed by the researcher and underwent a validation process during the implementation by the main researcher of the Educational Products II discipline, taught in the Professional Master's Degree in Health Teaching of the Faculty of Medicine of the Federal 10 University of Alagoas MPES/FAMED/UFAL. Data collection took place at HUPAA/ UFAL Maternity, at the beds of postpartum women, where they were invited to participate in the study, and for this, they signed the Free and Informed Consent Form (FICF). Each of the 5 (five) students applied 6 (six) semi-structured questionnaires, totaling 30 (thirty) questionnaires, prior to data collection, a Pilot Test was performed by students, which aimed to adjust the previously elaborated questionnaire to the objectives that were intended to achieve. The responses obtained from the field research questionnaires were created in the Google Forms digital tool, with the responses being displayed through graphs, the results compiled and entered into a spreadsheet and, finally, analyzed collectively by students, resulting in a single interpretation. Results and discussion: The analysis of the IBL method was carried out from the elaboration of thematic categories, based on Bardin's content analysis that were developed from the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) through CHATGPT version 3.5, and supervised by the human mind, the use of the IBL method, in the context of training in Service. The analysis of the IBL method, in the context of training in Service, revealed the learning that students developed during the didactic activities, pointing to a more dynamic perspective aligned with contemporary demands in educational work, especially in the context of curricular internship practice. The use of the active methodology demonstrated the active participation of intern students, who not only acquired knowledge about the studied theme but also developed skills of the scientific culture. This study highlights the importance of educational approaches that promote active student participation and integrate theory and practice effectively, preparing them for the challenges of the real world. Conclusion: The results obtained through the application of the Inquiry-Based Teaching / Learning method, for Social Work students in the Curricular Internship discipline, in the practice scenario of the HUPAA/UFAL Maternity, were consistent with the objectives proposed by the teaching methodology, the students were able to develop learning about the sub-registry of Birth Registration, as well as develop several skills present in the scientific culture such as: critical analysis, hypothesis elaboration, data collection, analysis of collected data, among others.

  • The teaching-learning process in health courses, in addition to theoretical knowledge, also requires practical improvement for the training of professionals and the preceptor is an important tool in facilitating this process. In this context, this Academic Course Completion Work - TACC of the Professional Master's Degree in Health Teaching at the Faculty of Medicine of the Federal University of Alagoas had the main objective of analyzing the perception of preceptors about the internship in Physiotherapy in Neonatology. This is research with a qualitative approach, of an exploratory nature. To produce the information, an audiobook was initially presented and then an interview was carried out with the Physiotherapy preceptors in Neonatology. The data were analyzed according to content analysis, adapted according to Bardin and Minayo, and an analysis matrix was constructed with horizontal synthesis and vertical synthesis of perceptions. Four categories were chosen for preceptorship discussion: Potentialities; Challenges, Skills and suggestions for the educational resource. Through the preceptors' speeches, it was found that the student's presence was well accepted, that the Neonatal Unit setting is favorable to learning and acquiring skills in Neonatology, with newborns and working in a multidisciplinary team. The audiobook presented was created as a practical guide to contribute to the preceptorship process in Neonatal Physiotherapy, which will be shared with the team of physiotherapists. Both will be presented to the coordination of the Multiprofessional Unit to encourage discussion about teaching training for preceptors.

  • Collaborative practices are elements of cooperation present in the daily work of healthcare teams. To do this, they need training with theoretical and practical support on Interprofessionality to act in an interactive and collaborative way between the various professions, with an intense exchange of knowledge, centered on the patient and the community. Historically, the classic, more uniprofessional model has prevailed in training. Interprofessionality is more recent and faces challenges to solidify it. This research was carried out at the Professor Gilberto de Macedo Teaching and Care Unit (UDA), which is a practice unit of the Federal University of Alagoas in agreement with the municipal health department of Maceio, where two Family Health Strategy teams took part in the research. Thus, work and teaching are intertwined in this field of practice. The general objective of this study was to analyze the collaborative practices that exist in the daily lives of the professionals who work in the UDA. More specifically, it aimed to understand the team’s conceptions of collaborative practices, to identify those developed by the professionals, and to distinguish the team’s possible challenges in implementing these practices. The study used Mary Jane Spink’s Discursive Practices and the Production of Meaning as its theoretical basis. The technique used to collect data was a conversation circle and the information was recorded and transcribed in full. A dialogic map was then constructed by categorizing the speeches into four aspects: concept, actions said to be collaborative, stage of what it should be, necessary competences and inhibiting elements. The results and discussions suggest that the participants are partially familiar with the theoretical conceptualization of the subject, and had difficulty conceptualizing collaborative practices clearly. They also showed that they were aware of elements that need to be present and are important in building collaborative practices, such as communication, user-centered care and active user participation. These are challenges to be overcome, as they seem to be incipient in everyday life. Interpersonal conflicts were mentioned as part of everyday life and they said that there are few meetings to resolve them and to plan actions in an integrated way, which are limiting factors. A video on the subject was presented as a product to improve understanding of the concept of collaborative practices. The research suggests deepening the theoretical basis on the subject, either through continuing education or ongoing education, in order to make collaborative practices more effective in the day-to-day work of professionals and to contribute more effectively to shaping the mentality of the students who frequently pass through. A proposal was made to sensitize institutional leaders to encourage CPs and to involve the university in improving preceptorship at the Gilberto de Macedo UDA.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • This academic work, submitted to the qualification committee of the Professional Master's Degree in Health Teaching at the Faculty of Medicine of the Federal University of Alagoas, consists of a general presentation, an article and an educational product. The article, currently under construction, is based on research entitled “Training itinerary in reception and the practices of nurses in a high-risk maternity hospital”. The objective was to understand how nurses from a high-risk maternity hospital relate their practices to their reception training itinerary. Semi-structured interviews were carried out with seven nurses from the triage and pre-delivery sectors of the maternity ward at Hospital Universitário Professor Alberto Antunes (HUPAA), located in the city of Maceió, state of Alagoas. For analysis, three analytical categories were established: meanings of reception, training itinerary in reception and reception practices carried out at work. The analysis of the research results points to the polysemy of the welcoming concept. Some meanings came close to that proposed by the PNH, with regard to resoluteness and co-responsibility, and one of the principles of the SUS, comprehensiveness. Others, for the most part, aligned themselves with human and interpersonal attributes. There was a weakness in formal education around the topic and an emphasis on the contribution of non-formal education. The reported reception practices entered the scope of the relational sphere, exceeding technicaloperational limits and touching spheres of ethical values. The educational product is an animated video, in verse verses, which portrays issues of the daily practices of nurses and other health professionals involved in welcoming actions. It aims to raise awareness and guide health professionals, students and technical support staff regarding the importance of welcoming high-risk pregnant women. This work is expected to contribute to other studies, to professional training, not only for health professionals, as well as to improve care for high-risk pregnant women.

  • Introduction: Physical activity is widespread in Brazil as an auxiliary measure in the treatment of diseases such as Hypertension. Part of the world population does not practice physical exercise; this non-adherence would be due to the lack of guidance given by doctors. To provide guidance on AF, the ideal is to have doctors with knowledge on the subject, since their academic training. Objective: To verify the level of knowledge and perception regarding physical activity as an educational factor in the prevention and treatment of hypertension. Methodology: Qualitative research, of an exploratory nature, carried out at the Teaching Assistance Unit, with students undergoing supervised internship in Family Health Strategy. Data were produced from interviews and analyzed from the perspective of content analysis. Result: Systematization of data resulted in the categories: Physical Activity and Medical Education; Physical activity, physical exercise, and relationship with health; Importance of the Recommendation on PA; Knowing to Guide; Beyond the curriculum: health education actions. Conclusion: Topic treated as an adjunct to content spread across six periods of the course. Students' perception of the treatment and prevention of hypertension and diabetes proved to be scarce and inconsistent with WHO recommendations. Including this topic in health education actions is essential.

  • The objective of this study was to analyze the perceptions of students in the health area of a Public Higher Education Institution in Alagoas about the curricularization process of the University Extension. Exploratory study, with a qualitative approach, which used as a data collection instrument the semi-structured interview with eleven students who had at least two years of experience in extension projects at the University. Data were analyzed using Bardin's Content Analysis technique, in thematic mode. The thematic categories outlined were: extension curricularization from the student's point of view; skills and competences developed in university extension; obstacles and challenges of extension curricularization. Based on these categories, we infer that discussions on this topic are still incipient in the local reality, requiring greater clarification from all the actors that make up the university, in addition to the importance of the entire academic community to collectively build mechanisms that expand the appreciation, the recognition of extension as a formative dimension and the possibility of pedagogical transformation.

  • This Course Conclusion Academic Work (TACC) is composed of the following sections: presentation; dissertation, the result of research carried out during the master's degree; and related educational products. At the end, the general considerations of the TACC are outlined and the appendices and annexes are made available. In the presentation, the personal motivations that led to the research are explained, as well as a brief history of the topic studied. The dissertation comes from the research "Knowledge of the preceptor teacher of the supervised internship, on the necessary competences that the student should achieve in the primary care internship", carried out with a qualitative approach, through documentary research, analyzing the Pedagogical Project of the Course (PPC) of a private institution in Maceió-AL. Observing gaps in the training processes of professionals and graduates, which made it difficult to put into practice what the PPC of the course and the DCNs advocated, actions were thought and executed that could collaborate in health training, capable of causing changes in care practices. As a result of these actions, the educational products were: an original article, and a workshop for the preceptors of the nursing course, with the objective of showing what weaknesses were found, in order to bring solutions for improvement for the internship and consequently for the course. The general conclusion, from the research and related interventions and products, is that the proposed objectives were achieved. Therefore, the text of the PPC, after being analyzed, is sufficient for training compatible with a professional profile capable of understanding and offering adequate care. In addition, there was important learning for the researcher and her interlocutors in this academic trajectory, producing improvements for professionals, graduates, users and for the institution where the actions were developed.

Permanente health education (EPS) is a political-pedagogic strategy that claims the problems and needs of health work processes, relating to teaching, health care, system management, and social control participation. As goals, it considers the qualification and improvement of work processes in several system levels, following the improvement of Unique Health System (SUS) access, quality, and humanization, as well as it’s political-institutional management processes. This academic course completion work contains an article titled: “The social control and teaching, services and community integration in Maceió/AL”, developed from research at the healthcare education professional master’s degree. The research aimed to analyze the implementation of the Intersetorial Commission of Human Resources and work relations at Maceió, Alagoas Municipal Health Council. It is a qualitative study, based on action-research principles, following Thiollent and Tripp, being realized between 2021 and 2022, with students and teachers from 4 health colleges, 2 of them public and 2 others private; health counselors from Maceió Municipal Health Secretary (SMS) and State Commission for Teaching-Service Integration professionals (Cies). The data was obtained through pedagogical workspaces disposed of due to action-research process stages: action planning, action implementation, and action evaluation. The results showed that the organizational structure of Permanent Healthcare Education in Maceio, as well as it’s spaces and arenas, are centered at the management stage, restricting the discussion of professional formation to work on SUS and at the Municipal Plain and Regional Cies, that isn’t a social control instance. The workspaces worked as interlocution that the actors used to participate in the construction that, with different knowledge, purposing solutions, and learning in action, resulted in the Intersetorial Commission of Human Resources and work relations of Maceió creation, as well as the technical division to advise the Commission. The results also point to the need for more Human Recourses and work relations at the Municipal Health Council discussion places to its implementation and empowerment.

  • Residue management in healthcare services is crucial. It is a complex system involving multiple
stages and different people, from citizens, health professionals and drivers of internalservices
in healthcare institutions, to specialized professionals in residue management. In this context
and scenario, this academic work was carried out as a final course project under the title
    “Assessmentonenvironmentalawareness,pro-environmentalbehaviorandresidue
management quality in healthcare services: The Reality of a Medical Course in a Public Higher
Education Institution (HEI) in Alagoas." The researcher presents the results of the study on the
subject in the format of an article and educational product. The first general objective was
investigating the relationship between environmental awareness, pro-environmental behavior
and residue management in healthcare services (GRSS), among medical students from a public
higher education institution in Alagoas. This is an exploratory case study, with descriptive-
analytical and a quantitative approach. The sample consisted of 93 medical students. The
inclusion criteria was: being enrolled in the medical course of the researched institution; and as
exclusion criteria: student transferred from other HEIs and student removed from academic
activities. As a data collection instrument, a validated questionnaire was used, entitled
“Behavior for Sustainability” (Afonso et al. 2016). The questionnaire was based on theoretical
constructs related to sustainability, encompassingthree dimensions: Environmental Awareness,
    Pro-EnvironmentalBehaviorandResidueQualitymanagement.TheLikert-typescale
evaluates six items for each dimension, totaling 18 items. Thequestionnaire and the TCLE were
inserted in Google Forms and sent to the selected students by institutional electronic mail (e-
mail). For data analysis, the information was initially grouped in a Microsoft Office Excel
spreadsheet. Subsequently, the variables were organized in tables. For data description, the
following measures were used: absolute frequency (n), relative frequency in percentage (%),
avarage, standard deviation (SD), Pearson's correlation coefficient (r) and Cronbach's alpha
    coefficient.TheCronbach'salphavaluewas0.5596fortheenvironmentalawareness
dimension, indicating a moderate level of internal consistency, while the pro-environmental
behavior and residue management dimensions exhibited 0.6571 and 0.715, respectively,
indicatinga considered substantial level of internal consistency. The results showed that the
level of environmental awareness had a positive influence on pro-environmental behavior and
on the quality of the GRSS. Pro-environmental behavior exerted a positive influence on the
quality of residue management in healthcare services. Fifth year students had a greater positive
attitude (statistically significant) towards the dimensions of environmental awareness and pro-
environmental behavior than the others, including sixth year students. In this study, there was
no statistically significant difference in behavior between female and male students in any
dimension. The students’ perception of GRSS quality, across all years, requires curriculum
improvement. For greater depth, further qualitative research is suggested to explore existing
learning opportunities. The institution's documents proved to be insufficient to materialize the
management of solid residue in healthcare. It was concluded that the HEI needs to practice,
guide and monitor the GRSS, as well as raise students awarenessregarding the disposal of
residue generated duringpractical activities. The students at the researched institution presented
concerning attitudes in the dimension of GRSS quality, indicating a need for improvement. The
producedEducational Product was a video titled “Generating and Disposing of RSS in a
Practical Setting.” The resource aimed to raise awareness among the academic community
about their role in the GRSS. The video was built using the Animaker Platform and has a
duration of 2'49''. Its contents address the role of the HEI in the GRSS and Situation Simulation
of RSS Generation and Disposal. It is expected that this academic work will consolidate itself
as an auxiliary resource for improving the curriculum of the medical course of the researched
    institution.

  • This study is based on a concern that stems from the observational action directed towards health work and the integration of teaching, health services and the community, during the development of my work practice at the Professor Gilberto Macedo Teaching Assistant Unit of the Federal University of Alagoas ( UDA/UFAL) as preceptor of the second period students of the Campus A.C. Simons. I directed my interest to investigate the contribution of community health agents to the training process of UFAL medical students, in view of the proximity of these professionals to the community, their role as mediator between technical and popular knowledge through the practice of popular health education which, in turn, establishes a link between the community and the health services. The general objective of the research is to analyze the actions developed by community health agents in the training process of medical students. As specific objectives, identify the actions developed between the ACS and medical students and describe what the ACS understand about the training process of the medical course and what their contributions are in this process.

Within the context of preceptorship, characterized as in-service education
aimed at training professionals in practical settings, the preceptor plays
pivotal roles. They are not only responsible for imparting knowledge from
their daily experiences but also for overseeing and guiding students in
their professional development. The Academic Completion Work (TACC)
of the Professional Master's in Health Education, affiliated with the
Medical School of the Federal University of Alagoas, is structured in two
primary facets: the drafting of a scientific paper and the creation of a
technical educational product. The article titled "Technical and Behavioral
Competencies of the Nurse Preceptor in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
of a Public Hospital in Alagoas" centers on analyzing the performance of
such competencies in a public Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This
research, of an exploratory, qualitative, and descriptive nature, relied on
data collected from a sample of 30 preceptors from the Neonatal ICU of a
Teaching Maternity Hospital, conducted through a tool consisting of three
key questions. Additionally, an animated educational video titled
"Preceptorship in Neo I will talk" was developed, available on the
YouTube platform at the link https://youtu.be/9LhtWEREe2c, which
subsequently underwent a validation process, leading to the publication
of a specific article on the subject. The core aim of this work is to provide
a significant contribution to practical education, spurring reflections on
preceptorship and assessing the technical and behavioral performance of
    nurse preceptors in neonatal settings

  • Hospitalization is a process that changes the routine of all people who are
hospitalized, particularly children, as they are under different stressful aspects.
Nursing is characterized by being a care profession and in this care process
one of the roles that nursing needs to adopt is health education, as an essential
part of student participation within a teaching hospital. The supervised
internship in Nursing is a moment of knowledge consolidation in which the
student applies in practice what was learned in theory. This Course Completion
Academic Work, of the Professional Master's Degree in Health Teaching at the
Faculty of Medicine of the Federal University of the State of Alagoas - FAMED
consists of two parts: the first is composed of a scientific article resulting from
the research carried out and the second by an educational product. The general
objective of the research was to understand the perception of the nursing
student in relation to the supervised internship in a pediatric hospital service.
This is a descriptive-exploratory study of a qualitative nature, whose setting was
a faculty of nursing at a public university in the state of Alagoas. The research
participants were seven students, six females and one male who were at the
end of the 8th period of the nursing course. Data collection took place through a
focus group that was analyzed using the content analysis technique, according
to Malheiros (2011). Two categories were obtained as results: 1) Expectations
and challenges for the hospital internship in Pediatrics. 2) Criteria for choosing
the supervised hospital nursing internship. Thus, a scientific article was
produced, entitled: “The perception of nursing students in relation to the
supervised internship in a pediatric hospital service”. Based on these results, a
pedagogical workshop entitled: "How can we welcome nursing students?" It is
hoped that this study will be able to contribute to the adherence of students to
the supervised internship in pediatric nursing, improving the reception of nursing
professionals and promoting greater integration between teaching and service
in the hospital environment, forming more qualified and prepared professionals.
to the work environment through the new acquired knowledge.

  • Introduction: Based on the curricular guidelines and on the policies to encourage training in health, it is estimated that the internship in primary care contributes to the formation of the critical-reflective profile of the nurse. Objective: To analyze the preceptor's perception of how the teaching-learning process occurs during the supervised internship in primary care. Method: This is an exploratory study with a qualitative approach, case study type. It was developed at Faculdade Estácio de Alagoas, with preceptors from the nursing course who are part of the teaching staff of the discipline of supervised internship in primary care, which has 23 preceptors, of which only six agreed to participate in the study. Data collection took place from August to September 2022, through a questionnaire prepared on the Google Forms platform, containing 14 questions. Results: All participants were female, with a nursing degree from a private institution, with a prevalent age group of 31-40 years. Most have Lato Sensu specialization. As for having a teacher training course, half reported having yes. In terms of preceptorship time, 66.7% said they had more than 4 years. It is possible to perceive that there is a concern, on the part of the preceptors, to have, at least, the title of specialist to develop the preceptorship. Conclusion: It was possible to identify the preceptor's relevance and impact on the training of new nurses, and on the importance of these having technical and pedagogical knowledge of their profession.

  • Obstetrics is a Medicine field that studies reproductive
phenomena in women relating to pregnancy, childbirth, and
    postpartum. Governmental health formation strategies
established an approximation between health schools and
health services to make the professional in this area, in its
condition as a preceptor, turn into a protagonist in the formative
process. This work aims to investigate aspects that may
interfere with obstetric teaching quality in a hospital school,
through its preceptors in this area. A qualitative approach
descriptive study realized at the maternity of a hospital school in
2022. The sample was through convenience, with 10 obstetric
doctors also preceptors at the referred maternity, in shifty and
outpatient systems. Data was collected during interviews
following an 8 open questions script. The analysis occurred
through Iramuteq software to make the categories. From this, 4
categories were defined: preceptorship activities being
preceptor; hospital as teaching and workplace; and
communication between preceptor and Medicine School. The
data analysis has shown dissatisfaction with the preceptor’s
function value, and failure in its specific capacitation, revealing a
lack of formation and domain of educational aspects involved in
this practice. The results point to obstacles in the relationship
between the academy and doctors of the service, showing
fragile relation and interaction teaching-service, as well as
dissatisfaction with the lack of planning of preceptorship, work
overload, and a lack of updated protocols at the service. The
aspects related by the participants interfere directly with
teaching-learning processes, as well in Medicine egress
formation, deserving being focused, objecting planning
strategies that favor a better use of students at the internship,
promoting an adequate relation between theory and practice.

  • This Final Academic Work - FAW of the Professional Master's Degree in Health Teaching at the Faculty of Medicine of the Federal University of Alagoas consists of two parts: the first is composed of a scientific article and the second, of two educational technical products, derived from the research: “Therapeutic futilities to the detriment of palliative care for patients with HIV/aids at the end of their life: student knowledge”. The motivation for this research arose from the researcher's concerns when reflecting on the knowledge, actions and difficulties of undergraduate students and health professionals in dealing with aids patients in the face of imminent and inevitable death within an infectious disease hospital. It objective is to know the knowledge of students in a hospital for infectious and contagious diseases on palliative care and the use of futile therapies for patients with HIV/aids at the end of their lives. This is an exploratory study, with a qualitative approach, of the case study type. The instrument used for data collection was the semi-structured interview. Data analysis was conducted according to the method proposed by Bardin and organized into categories 1) Palliative care in the training of health graduates; 2) Understanding and identifying practices that prolong the dying process; 3) Factors that lead to the use of techniques that prolong the dying process. Thus, a scientific article was produced, with the title: “Therapeutic futilities to the detriment of palliative care for patients with HIV/aids at the end of their life: student knowledge”, the same title as the research. And two educational products 1 e-book “Palliative Care for patients with HIV/aids at the end of their lives: addressing Therapeutic Futilities”, a didactic, accessible, practical, free, and easy-to-understand material; product 2: videos series: “Palliative Care; Palliative care for patients with HIV/aids; Therapeutic futilities”, viable due to the wide possibility of access and dissemination of the themes. With this work, we hope to contribute to the teaching-learning process of health course students, discourage futile practices in end-of-life patients with HIV/aids and collaborate in integrating teaching, service, and community.

  • Professional training is a constant concern in the history of humanity, especially for those who will take care of the population's health. Botti and Rego, (2008) apud Macedo (1999) state that, in primitive tribes, candidates to perform the role of shaman were carefully selected and trained. Lately, preceptorship has been standing out as a teaching modality in the training of professionals, especially in the health area, whether at undergraduate or postgraduate level. Based on the results of this study, it is possible to produce and/or support arguments that lead to an improvement in the training of these professionals. This research aimed to analyze the contribution of preceptors to the training of residents in Obstetric and Women's Health nursing at a public institution in Maceió; Know the specific training process of preceptors participating in the research, for the exercise of preceptorship of the internship under study; It is research with a qualitative, exploratory approach, designed as an Educational Case Study. The results achieved show the growing presence of men, which means affirming the emergence of a new trend, that of masculinization in the category. (PUCPR-2020); Although there are many challenges, limitations in completeness for the better development of the Curriculum and teaching-learning process in health training, the relationship between the parties involved, resident-preceptor promotes the benefit by creating an exchange of theoretical and practical knowledge. The characteristics of the relationship developed between preceptor and resident, mentioned here as something positive, portray its relevance for collective work, mediated by the appreciation of the student's knowledge, in which the preceptor develops educational criticism, in a constant process of elaboration and re-elaboration of knowledge -do, in order to horizontalize this relationship. We suggest greater interaction between the institutions participating in the relational process - trainers-trainees, in order to offer better training to residents, making the preceptor part of the educational process, without maintaining a link with the university

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • Introduction: The evolution of scientific knowledge associated with the new demands of health work demonstrates the indispensability of investments in training highly qualified professionals who are increasingly committed to comprehensive care, advocated by the Unified Health System. The CNE/CES Resolution n° 4, which establishes the DCN/FISIO, recommends that the physical therapist should be prepared to know methods and techniques of investigation and elaboration of academic and scientific works. This need for training professionals in the field of teaching and research emphasizes the importance of a stricto sensu postgraduate course in health, such as a professional master's degree. The knowledge about the scientific production in the area of physiotherapy teaching carried out in the Postgraduate Program in Health Teaching of the Faculty of Medicine of the Federal University of Alagoas, helps to understand the challenges of scientific production in the area, the current identity of the courses and to guide the definition of future policies for the sector. Objectives: to verify the adequacy of the scientific production of graduates in physiotherapy from MPES to the competences guided by the DCN of physiotherapy and to the epistemological foundations specific to MP, and the personal and institutional effects of derived products. Methodological approach: case study, descriptive, associating the method of direct document analysis and with Iramuteq of academic works of conclusion of the course of physical therapists graduated from MPES to the interview method with the use of a semi-structured questionnaire. The questionnaire consisted of open and closed questions that respectively helped to understand the objectives of the research and to compose the profile of the graduates. Twelve final papers were analyzed and eleven graduates were interviewed. Results: most of the works contemplated the pre-defined AC and UR, therefore, there is a direct relationship between the articles, respective products and the purpose foreseen in the DCN/FISIO of formation guided by the principles of SUS, as well as the epistemological foundations of the Professional PG MP. However, 75% of the TACC showed weaknesses in the implementation of their products, mainly due to difficulties in supporting the HEIs in policy strategies and administrative commitment. The institutional and personal effects generated after the implementation of the products generated two categories: 1- awareness of professionals and students, with the subcategories: humanization in health, interprofessional education and skills of the physiotherapist and 2- communication between managers and students of the physiotherapy course . All 11 professors reported personal benefits from the MP related to professional qualification for work in teaching and/or services. Final considerations: despite the difficulties in implementing the products reveal institutional challenges that require a better preparation of encouraging policies capable of adapting curricula for teamwork, the research of graduate physiotherapists created permanent benefits in some HEIs, such as an influence on the improvement of curriculum matrices and strategies to strengthen the integrated internship of several health courses. These reports reflect the importance of qualification for work through professional PG of the MP type in health education.

  • The progress and completion of medical residency aim to develop skills for specialization in the area. In medical residency in surgery, the objectives are to enable and train the physician to perform the diagnosis and surgical treatment or not. Encouraging learning and assessment emphasizing the identification of technical and non-technical skills for effective and safe management for patients is critical. This research aimed to analyze the use of non-technical skills by resident physicians and also by preceptor surgeons who are part of the surgical clinic of a public teaching hospital. Cross-sectional, prospective study with a quantitative character, aiming to answer the questions: do residents of the HU receive guidance in relation to non-technical skills for working in the surgical clinic? Do the preceptors of the surgical clinic at the HU assess the residents from the perspective of non-technical skills? A questionnaire applied was answered by 30 preceptors and resident physicians at the General Surgery and Specialties Unit of that hospital. Data were analyzed and systematized using descriptive statistics. The results showed that 73.4% of those surveyed, preceptor surgeons and residents, recognized teamwork, communication and leadership, situational awareness and decision-making as non-technical skills required of a medical surgeon. Furthermore, they added the need to include stress management and dealing with fatigue as non-technical skills to be developed during training as surgeons. It was evident that non-technical skills are not assessed, showing the need to propose a model of an assessment instrument with the provision of feedback to residents in order to encourage the development of these skills. To this end, the development and validation of a Checklist aimed at the development and assessment of non-technical skills is necessary to promote learning, in addition to increasing patient safety. In short, non-technical skills are intrinsic attitudes to the surgeon, however, they are developed informally and need to be encouraged.

  • Interprofessional Education (EIP), understood by WHO as learning together to work together, is the subject of studies by researchers and professionals in the field of higher education around the world and is very strongly embraced by the CAIPE (Centre for Advancement of the Interprofessional Education) in the United Kingdom, which demonstrates the need to implement collaborative practices as one of the competencies of healthcare professionals through teamwork. In Brazil, the EIP constitutes one of the principles of the 2001 National Curriculum Guidelines, reformulated in 2017, however, unilateral and fragmented practices are still perceived both in the health internship and in the hospital setting. This article, called Interprofessional Education in health training: perspective of interns in a trauma hospital in Northeastern Brazil, aims to analyze the perception of health interns in relation to IPE and collaborative work in a trauma hospital. The quanti-quali study, with content analysis according to Bardin, has the following data collection instruments: 1 - the application of the RIPLS questionnaire (Readiness Interprofessional Learning Scale), adapted to Brazilian Portuguese; 2 - an online focus group (GFO) to better understand the responses to the questionnaire. SPSS (version 25) and Atlas-Ti (version 9.0) software were used for quantitative and qualitative analyses, respectively. Forty-three interns from different health courses in a trauma hospital of the SUS in the Northeast region of Brazil participated in the research. The research was approved by the CEP under the CAAE number 37476920.1.00000.5013. In the quantitative part, the responses to the RIPLS questionnaires draw attention to the frequency of score 3 (I neither agree nor disagree) in the three dimensions: 1. Teamwork and Collaboration (TEC), 2. Professional Identity (PI) and 3. Focused Attention in the Patient (ACP). In the qualitative analysis, the following categories emerged from the speeches of the interns at the GFO: 1.Definition of interprofessional education in health, with the subcategories: learning together and exchange of knowledge; 2. Absence of interprofessionality in academic training, with the subcategories: joint learning with different courses in training, encouragement of interdisciplinarity and work in the undergraduate curriculum; 3. Lack of teamwork, with the subcategories: collaboration, collectivity, sharing, interaction and working together; 4. Difficulties in interprofessional communication, with the subcategory: lack of contact with other sectors; 5. Values, with the subcategories: respect, ethics, empathy and solidarity; 6. Reflections on professional practices, with the subcategories: professional goals versus clinical goals and self-analysis. These categories showed that, despite the interns never having participated in IPE processes, they are likely to learn together with others in order to qualify their future professional practice in patient care. The interns demonstrated availability for interprofessional practice in health and collaborative practices. It is hoped that this study can contribute to health education through Interprofessional Education and collaborative practices in the hospital context.

  • Introduction: this Course Completion Academic Work (TACC) brings in its composition an article and two propositions of educational products, which had their origin in the results obtained from the research entitled: "Permanent education in times of pandemic: perception of intensive physical therapists of a high-risk public maternity”. Since the first months of 2020, when the first cases of COVID-19 (disease caused by the corona virus SARS-Cov-2) appeared and with the advance of the pandemic in Brazil, our health system was strained and taken to almost exhaustion, bringing challenges that at first sight were practically insurmountable. During this period in professional practice, it was permanent health education (PHE) that contributed to mitigating this situation and helping us to understand the new coronavirus, and established itself as a powerful strategy in the mobilization of the entire multiprofessional team. Even at the present time, health institutions had and have to reorganize and direct all their EPS actions to prepare their servers, including intensive physical therapists. In this way, the EPS can train these professionals in order to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, understand the pathophysiology of the virus, in order to try to provide qualified assistance to pregnant women, mothers and newborns at the maternity school researched. The motivation for this study was based on the author's experience as a frontline professional in the fight against the pandemic, on the perception of the change in the maternity routine and that of the entire team, and on the applicability of EPS during this troubled period. Objective: to analyze the development of Continuing Health Education actions in a Maternity School during the COVID 19 Pandemic. Method: the study is qualitative, being a descriptive, exploratory case study. A focus group with 5 participants was carried out and the data analyzed using the method suggested by Malheiros. Results: it was observed that EPS was of great importance in combating the pandemic, both in aspects of improvement and application of protocols, improvement in care and clinical practice, as well as in the safety of professionals and in the care of COVID patients, with influence positive in the emotional aspect of the team of physiotherapists. All these gains were directly related to the moments of EPS performed in the maternity ward with the presence of the multidisciplinary team. Final considerations: this TACC provides information on EPS during the pandemic period and the two proposed products aim to aggregate EPS in institutional practice.

  • The legal recognition of health as a right for all and a duty of the State was affirmed in the Federal Constitution of 1988 (CF/1988) which established the Unified Health System (SUS) as a strategy for its implementation. Thus, the need arises for a training process in health that meets the principles established by the SUS, in which the teaching-service integration represents a relevant strategy for this training. The research “The teaching-service integration of the curricular internships of the courses in the health area of a public university in a municipality of Alagoas” aimed to analyze the process of teaching-service integration of the curricular internships of the courses in the health area in the municipality. This is a qualitative study which interview coordinators of health courses at the Federal University of Alagoas, professionals from the Municipal Health Department of Arapiraca who coordinate health internships, preceptor professionals working in the health services of the municipality of Arapiraca and students who were completing a curricular internship in these services. Two categories of analysis were established: organization and development of the stage of courses in the health area; and interfaces of teaching and service integration, the first category being subdivided into two: planning of activities in SUS training spaces; and pedagogical training for preceptorship in the SUS. The results showed that there is a fragility in the communication between the actors involved in the training process of the curricular internships, as well as in the planning between the university internship coordinations and preceptors, making it difficult to develop the actions to be carried out in the SUS practice scenarios, and the process of integration between teaching and service. This research also generated as a product the Digital Guide for curricular internships in health services, aiming to provide prior knowledge of the internship fields of the municipal health network, as well as to present the management instruments that make up the planning system in the SUS. As final considerations, it is understood that the teaching-service integration is essential for the training and development of health professionals, and necessary for the consolidation of SUS.

  • This end-of-course academic work of the Professional Master in Health
Teaching of the School of Medicine of the Federal University of Alagoas is
composed of an article, resulting from the research entitled "Teaching
fatherhood in the Neonatal Unit of a public teaching hospital in the
discourse of health professionals" and three educational products, results
of the aforementioned research. The study's main goal was to know the
discursive practices about teaching fatherhood in a neonatal unit. In order
to reach this goal, individualized and semi-structured interviews were
conducted with seven professionals working in a Unit of a public teaching
hospital. Three analytical categories were built: "Fatherhood: a gender issue
and the (non) inclusion of the father in the care of the newborn", "Formative
journey in teaching fatherhood" and "Health practices in the daily work that
contribute to the teaching of fatherhood". From the results and analysis of
this research, three technical educational products were developed: two
educational videos entitled "The father in the Neonatal Unit", which has as
its main objective to share knowledge regarding the inclusion of fathers in
neonatal unit care and "Father, your presence makes a difference!", which
contains information about the Companion Law. The third product is a
proposal for an online conversation circle, entitled "Neonatal Unit is also a
place for the father/partner", with the purpose of helping in the reflection
and exchange of experiences related to the insertion of the father in the
neonatal unit. With this research we hope to help improve practices that
strengthen the teaching and inclusion of fathers in care in the Neonatal Unit,
in addition to broadening the debate on the paternal role in situations of
hospitalization of the newborn, and beyond.

  • The National Program For Patient Safety instituted by the Brazilian Ministry
of Health is recognized for its contribution to the qualification of healthcare,
turning its presence in every national healthcare facility essential,
stimulating safe assistance practices. The research´s leading question was:
What is the knowledge of nursing undergraduates of a public university
regarding patient safety? The study had a goal to measure the knowledge of
the undergraduates regarding patient safety during their internship in a
University Hospital. Methodology-wise, we consider the research a
qualitative-descriptive exploratory study, in which participated 19 students
in the 9° period of the nursing course enrolled in the subject "Supervised
internship in a general hospital and basic health unit 1". The information
was collected by interviews guided by a semi-structured tool and analyzed
according to the phases proposed by Bardin (2011): 1. Pre-analysis; 2.
Material exploration; 3. Treating results. The results obtained showed that
the undergraduates, at the beginning of the internship, had limited
knowledge regarding Patient Safety, being obtained during the discipline
and extracurricular activities, showing significant progress concerning the
subject during the internship. We conclude with the research that with the
activities developed during the internship allowed the students to present a
better understanding of the protocols implemented by the hospital´s Patient
Safety Core and recognize its importance to the quality of assistance in
healthcare. The study´s relevance and the expected scientific contribution
are found in the possibility of incorporating the data to increment the
formation of the nursing students with the acquired knowledge regarding
patient safety leading them to act multidisciplinary, seeking an improvement
    in the quality of assistance.

  • This Academic Course Conclusion Work (TACC) is composed of the
presentation, article and two educational products, where the first product, a
bank of radiographic images, was designed to be applied and tested in the
research methodology. The second product is an improved version of the
radiographic images bank based on the considerations made by the
research participants, through the satisfaction survey and the evaluation of
the qualification board of examiners of the Professional Master's Degree in
Health Education at FAMED/UFAL. These are followed by the final
considerations of this TACC and the attachments. In the presentation, the
motivations and aspirations of the researcher in carrying out the research
are explained, as well as a summary of the history of the subject studied.
The dissertation originates from the research “implementation of e-learning
in the discipline of Dental Radiology and Imaginology”, a case study with a
quantitative and qualitative approach, where an online teaching-learning
strategy was developed with the use of a tool of e-learning, which is a bank
of digital dental radiographic images, designed for use at clinical practices
of Dental Radiology and Imaging at a private Higher Education Institution
(HEI). The tool was tested and evaluated regarding the acquisition of
knowledge and the perception of motivation for learning. After the
application of the study, a bank of digital radiographic images was
designed, made available on a website, as a product of the research. This
bank has periapical radiographs with identification of the anatomical
structures of the maxilla and mandible, to facilitate studying the periapical
radiographic anatomy with digital radiographs, which can be constantly
updated. We concluded that the proposed objectives were achieved, with
evidence that the use of the e-learning tool showed a positive correlation by
the students in regard to cognitive performance and to the motivation
    reaction scale.

composed of the dissertation and the product, where the TACC was
developed, to identify the perception of the student of the Nutrition
course on the knowledge needed to work in Primary Care. Nutritional
care is defined as a set of actions of food security and nutrition within
the public health scenarios. However, in Brazil, the descriptions of
actions and guidelines on food and nutrition performed by academia,
or by primary care teams, are still insufficient for specific
understanding. The curriculum of the Higher Education Institutions
(HEI) contemplates in general, the levels of complexity of health care of
the Unified Health System, with little integration between disciplines
and not always develop active methodologies during theoretical and
practical classes. The general objective is to verify in a concrete and
real way the perception of students in the undergraduate nutrition
course within the context of professional reality through the
theoretical basis, especially in the implementation of activities in
primary health care. The study of qualitative character, facing the
theoretical assimilations for professional performance in basic health,

  • Introduction: Internships should be professional and educational links with programs driven by competency-based education in accordance with the Brazilian National Curriculum Guidelines. The extracurricular internship, which is voluntary and complementary to the official undergraduate curriculum, is a reality in Brazil and it has suffered many criticisms. The Trustworthy Professional Activities define practice learning units and assist in supervision. Objective: To define Reliable Professional Activities in cardiology physiotherapy extracurricular hospital internship. Methodology: Descriptive and exploratory research using the online Delphi technique. Seventeen physical therapists working in the internship preceptorship and one physical therapist in the course coordination role participated in the research. Three rounds were done using Google questionnaires to align the definition by consensus. Results: Among 136 initial suggestions, seventeen Reliable Professional Activities were selected along with their respective degrees of importance for monitoring the extracurricular internship in physical therapy. Conclusion:  The definition of the Reliable Professional Activities for the physiotherapy internship in cardiology allowed the necessary and permanent integration between preceptors for greater clarity in the definition of roles and responsibilities, and guarantees the development of an institutional program for the proper supervision of interns.

  • ARTICLE: NURSING RESIDENCE IN NEONATOLOGY: UNDER THE VIEW OF THE PRECEPTOR AND RESIDENT

    ABSTRACT

Introduction: Preceptorship is defined as teaching-assistance supervision by specific area of activity or professional specialty, aimed at health professionals who have completed an undergraduate course and at least three years of experience. Objective: to analyze the perspective of the nurse-preceptor and the resident regarding the Nursing Residency Program in neonatology of a public school maternity hospital. Methods: descriptive study with a qualitative approach of the case study type, with an exploratory characteristic. The research instrument was through individual interviews through a semi-structured script, with 09 participants among residents and preceptors. The data obtained were transcribed and interpreted according to content analysis by Bardin and Minayo. Based on the results, four analytical categories were created: 1) Competencies of the preceptor; 2) Potentialities found in preceptorship; 3) Difficulties in preceptorship and 4) Challenges during the pandemic in preceptorship. Results: strengths and weaknesses were observed in terms of teaching and learning in nursing residency in neonatology. The need to involve everyone who is part of the preceptorship in the search to collaborate with democratic proposals to build quality service learning and incentive to strengthen the preceptor. The preceptor needs to know his role, how to develop, actively participate in permanent education and collaborate with teaching in the formation of strategies that aim to achieve the preceptorship's objectives. Education is the responsibility of everyone involved in this process. There is a need for periodic discussion of factors that contribute to decision-making for the category of preceptors and support advances to be implemented. Final considerations: it is understood that teaching in service demands time, updates and support for preceptors, greater involvement of educational and health institutions, and appreciation of this class of professionals who develop assistance in parallel with teaching, providing guidance for future specialists . The contribution of those involved in the development of the practice brought dynamic updates and necessary cooperation for preceptors and residents, aiming to strengthen in-service teaching. We believe that the research results will be able to contribute to dialogues about the formation of the Nurse-Neotalogist, making this an instrument that facilitates and instigates in-service teaching.

  • Abstract

Introduction: The contemporary world demands from medical education, training beyond the technical-scientific biological knowledge, stimulating curricular changes and new ways of understanding the teaching-learning process. The National Curriculum Guidelines for the Undergraduate Course in Medicine, 2014, boosted this process. In this context, the current PPC of the medical course highlights the Formative Assessment and the Fdback or Feedback as strategies to enable an egress that meets the needs of the population. The challenge is to combine cognitive and practical knowledge. These difficulties are evident in the transition to the internship, being highlighted, in this study, the Pediatric Emergency disciplines. A tool in this process is simulation followed by debriefing: discussion about what happened in the simulation scenario, bringing to the learner reflections on experiences, perceptions, decision-making and clinical competence. Objective: teacher training to systematize simulation and debriefing as part of the formative assessment strategy in Pediatric Emergency disciplines at a public university. Method: this is a qualitative research, action research type in the educational field (teaching research) with professors of the Pediatric Emergencies disciplines of a medical course. Data collection was carried out in two moments, interspersed with a face-to-face workshop, using a semi-structured online questionnaire. First, professors will participate in virtual meetings to build a simulation and debriefing script; then there was a real simulation with student volunteers who participated in the debriefing conducted by the professors. Audio and video recordings of the discussions were made. The data were analyzed by simple statistics and through the content analysis proposed by Bardin, where it is possible to extract the relevant contents. Results The teachers of the Pediatric Emergency Department incorporated part of the concepts of formative assessment, simulation and feedback (debriefing) in the teaching-learning strategies of pre-internship medicine. Final remarks Despite some absenteeism from the online discussion and planning meetings, the workshop had a direct positive impact on the pediatric emergencies pre-school discipline (new modes of assessment and feedback) by motivating and stimulating meaningful learning. New works with these themes and interventions are fundamental to serve as a basis and in the reformulation and construction of undergraduate medical disciplines.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • The profile of the dentist, previously considered technical, fragmented, centered on
curing diseases, focused on specializations and not on meeting population
demands, is now leading to the construction of the new National Curriculum
Guidelines (DCN) and also proposes changes in professional training for students
of dentistry course enabling them to experience what the scenario of the Unified
Health System is like, during curricular internships.
The supervised internships provide spaces for reflection by the students, allowing
improvements in their training, as long as the teaching-learning process is
consistent with the proposal. Analyze the supervised internship in the Dentistry
course of a Federal Public University, under the students' perception to understand
the teaching-learning process, the potentialities and limitations of the supervised
curricular internship. A qualitative and quantitative study with assertive questions,
with a Likert-type scale and a motivating question, applied to the 10th period
students who completed the supervised curricular internship and to the recent
graduates of the last two years at the Faculty of Dentistry. The students valued the
internship as being important for professional training. Gaps were found in
communication such as exchange of information about what they have learned,
about studying by themselves and about organization and financial resources for
support. An approximation is necessary between the student and the University, so
that they can exchange information about their experiences and difficulties during
the internship. Effective communication is one of the needs of these students to
analyze how this teaching-learning process is being carried out in the internship
and what improvement strategies these students are using to expand their
knowledge. Another point to be analyzed refers to the organization of the
internship, in particular, the didactic material, schedule, location, workload and
financial support for traveling, technical materials and food. During the study, it was
noticed that the curricular internship needs to provide students in the practice
scenarios with strategies that bring better teaching-learning conditions, putting
them in contact with the social reality and also with the training of a generalist,
humanist and critical-reflective professional. Thus it is necessary to take joint
actions between the course and the health institutions, analyzing and trying to find
solutions to minimize its weaknesses, supporting the student and the dental
    professionals.

  • The creation of the Unified Health System determines a new model of health care, whose organizational axis is integrality. Thus, with the objective of re-discussing and transforming health practices, the Ministry of Health launched the National Humanization Policy, presenting welcoming to the family as an operational guideline for changing the work process. The university as an instrument for social transformation and critical and reflective thinking has the role of fostering new health practices, having as reference the health needs of the population and government policies. Objective: to analyze the teaching of embracement to the family during undergraduate nursing at a federal university in Northeastern Brazil. Method: this is an exploratory-descriptive study with a qualitative approach that used the focus group as a method of data collection and discourse analysis according to Bardin for data analysis. Results: 62.5% of the graduates of the undergraduate nursing course participated in the study. All female. 60% of the students affirm that the content about welcoming the family is not seen during the undergraduate course. Qualified listening is cited as inherent and essential to welcoming. For the study participants, welcoming is more feasible in primary care. Final considerations: The undergraduate students have knowledge about hosting. The theme is addressed during graduation, however, without theoretical deepening. The discipline that most deals with the subject in the course is mental health. It is also concluded that the development of welcoming actions, according to the undergraduate students, is easier in primary care than in the hospital network

  • Objective: To know the perceptions of graduates of a nursing course on the teaching of integrative and complementary practices during graduation. Method: Qualitative study, conducted in 2019, with graduates of a nursing course. Data were collected through individual interviews, recorded and transcribed. The data were analyzed manually following a script with four distinct stages: search for explicit, implicit ideas, survey of registration units and identification of categories. Results: three categories were found: paradigms that support health training for PICS, presenting the initial difficulty in expanding the vision of care beyond the biomedical model, immersing itself in the emotional, spiritual and energetic aspects necessary to understand traditional medicine; the applicability of PICS in nursing care, revealing a gap in curricular integration between theoretical knowledge and fields of practice; and the challenges of a curriculum that offers the teaching of PICS at graduation. Final considerations: Based on these data, it can be inferred that the curricular matrix that offers the teaching of PICS, is called interdisciplinarity in the sense of expanding the vision of care beyond the biomedical model, and in this way this vision can permeate the entire matrix and occasionally in the discipline that teaches PICS, enabling the visualization and application of these therapies in the fields of nursing practice.

  • The need to train professionals focused on SUS requirements, emerged in the
higher courses, focused on the training of nurses Nursing as
professional category aimed at individual and collective health, sought the interface between
community and health services, in accordance with the principles of
Unified Health System (SUS). In this perspective after the elaboration of the Guidelines
National Curriculum by the Ministry of Education and Culture (MEC), the internship
assumed a fundamental role in the formation process in higher education.
In this sense, the teaching-service-community articulation presents itself as an important
strategy for effective integration between theory and practice, and should also be
put at the service of the reflection of reality, allowing the student to elaborate criticisms and
seek appropriate solutions to the health problems encountered, keeping
if the commitment and responsibility to the user for the care to
emancipation of the other. The Supervised Curricular Internship (ECS) must be a
space where the opportunities experienced should be for the student not only a
moment of learning and understanding of the professional universe, but rather a
contribution to the effective and qualified promotion of the health of the assisted patient.
present work of completion of the Professional Master's Degree in Health Education

The Supervised Curriculum Internship (ECS) represents an integrating instrument between Educational Institutions and the field of practice, in addition to being a relevant curricular component in bringing students closer to the different care scenarios. Its implementation requires the involvement of actors who also participate in the practice to expand human relations, as it is at this time that the student has greater contact with reality and with the world of work to exercise their autonomy, enabling personal and professional development, favoring relationship between theory and practice. The present course completion work of the Professional Master's Degree in Health Education (MPES) is composed of two articles, an integrative review and a bibliometric study on the contributions of supervised internship to nursing education in different health contexts. The research aimed to analyze the scientific production on the contributions of supervised internships for nursing education in different health contexts. The methodology used was descriptive-exploratory, whose search source was articles published between 2015 and 2020, in the Scielo, BVS, Capes, Pubmed, Science Direct, and Wiley Online Library databases available electronically. For the systematization of the data, content analysis was used in the thematic modality according to Bardin (2011). The analysis surveyed 740 articles, 44 selected for full text reading and 26 met the inclusion criteria. After analyzing these studies, three thematic categories emerged: Role of preceptorship in the clinical nursing internship; Nursing student learning as a result of clinical supervision; Nurse's knowledge and skills for the preceptorship program. The results of this research point out the challenges faced in the teaching-learning process that directly interfere in the learning scenarios, such as the lack of clarity about the role of the nurse in the health service, the lack of pedagogical training for preceptors and often the lack of dialogue between the Educational Institution and the units in the practice scenarios. Scientific production was predominant in international publications (96%), published in Qualis A1 journal (61.5%) where the relevance of the topic in the analyzed research and the scarcity of publications in the national territory is observed, which indicates the need to develop research on the subject in Brazil. Considering the results found in this scientific research, the study presented as a product an educational video that aims to contribute to the professional training of nurses based on the awareness of the preceptor.

  • This study is part of the Academic Work of Course Completion (TACC) of the
Professional Master's Degree in Health Education (MEPS) of the Faculty of Medicine
of the Federal University of Alagoas (UFAL) and consists of a scientific article and an
educational product, both resulting from the following research “Interprofessionality in
training: The students' perception of health in a Stroke Unit”. Interprofessionality was
approached based on the knowledge of health students. Na exploratory study with a
qualitative approach that used the focus group technique for data collection in its
methodological path was conducted. Eleven students from different public and private
colleges who were doing internship at the Stroke Unit (U-AVC) participated in this
research. A focus group was held in October; and the audio recordings were fully
transcribed and submitted to Bardin content analysis, which enabled to stablish six
categories: 1) Students´ conception of interprofessionalism; 2) Interprofessional
practices in the Stroke Unit (U-AVC); 3)Interprofessional Education at U-AVC; 4)
Factors that facilitate/enable the exercise of interprofessionalism since academic
formation; 5) Factors that hinder interprofessionality in U-AVC and during academic
training of health students; 6) Suggestions for improving interprofessional practices
within the U-AVC. The results point to a conceptual weakness about
interprofessionalism and identify some barriers to its implementation. Thus, an
educational video was produced: “Paths to Interprofessionalism”. It is hoped that the
video can be used as a tool in health education spaces, and that this research can
contribute to confirm the importance of Interprofessionalism in health services and for
    health education.

  • This Academic Work of Course Completion (TACC) is composed of the following sections:
presentation; dissertation, the result of research carried out during the master's degree; and
four related educational products. At the end, the general considerations of the TACC are
outlined and the appendices and annexes are made available. In the presentation, the
personal motivations that led to the research are explained, as well as a brief background on
the studied topic. The dissertation comes from the research "training for the care of cultural
diversity in primary care in a nursing course", carried out with a qualitative approach, through
documentary research, analyzing the Pedagogical Course Project (PPC) of nursing of a
private institution in Maceió-AL. Observing gaps in the training processes of professionals
and graduates, which made it difficult to put into practice the care for cultural diversity, actions were designed and implemented that could collaborate in health education for
cultural diversity, capable of causing changes in care practices. As a result of these actions,
the educational products were: an original article, a model for adapting the curriculum of the
Supervised Internship curriculum, the elaboration of a systematic review article, aimed at the
scientific community and a video aimed at researchers, showing the importance of theory
Leininger in the practice scenario and the possibilities of its use as a pedagogical tool, presented during the II Iberoamerican Teachers Congress in July of this year. The general
conclusion, arising from the research and the interventions and related products, is that the
proposed objectives were achieved, revealing insufficiencies in the analyzed PPC text for a
training compatible with a professional profile capable of understanding and offering
adequate attention to the current current cultural diversity. in Alagoas society. In addition,
there was important learning for the researcher and her interlocutors in this academic
trajectory, producing improvements for professionals, graduates, users and for the institution

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • The following Academic Work for the Conclusion of a Professional Master's Degree in Health Education at the Faculty of Medicine (FAMED/UFAL) consists of two scientific papers and two intervention products which resulted from the research entitled “CONTRIBUTIONS OF THE CURRICULAR INTERNSHIP IN BASIC ATTENTION TO THE NURSE TRAINING: considering the National Curriculum Guidelines and under the student’s perspective”. In order to analyze the contributions of the curricular internship in Primary Care (AB) to the nurse training considering the DCNs and under the student’s perspective, the research had a qualitative approach of the type descriptive and exploratory study. The study participants were nine students from the nursing undergraduate course at UFAL - Arapiraca campus who had completed supervised curricular internship in AB in 2019. The data collection took place through individual interviews using a semi-structured script with questions about the experiences lived during the bachelor. The data was analyzed according to Bardin, what made it possible to identify five categories from the word clouds created: 1) The importance of practical classes and extracurricular activities for training; 2) The use of active methodologies during graduation; 3) Supervised internship: room for the development of nurses' skills; 4) The role of the preceptor and of the management in providing the student with a supervised internship; and 5) Primary Care: opportunity to “be a nurse” during training. Therefore, two papers were written, the first dealt with the contributions of the curricular internship in AB, making it possible to perceive that the experience of the real user necessities, the daily services and the teamwork caused a significant learning of nurse skills and the development of a critical-reflective and humanized professional profile, that is concerned with offering comprehensive health care to the individual. The second article addressed the teaching-learning strategies used during graduation, prior to the internship, making it possible to infer that the active methodologies provided the development of a critical, humanized and integral view on problem situations and in real scenarios, also highlighting the extension projects and academic leagues that allowed the student to acquire knowledge of contents that had not been worked on during the curricular activities. In addition, two educational products were produced: the first, a Technical Manual for the Workshop creation, which can be used as a pedagogical practice during graduation for nursing students and preceptors in order to provoke reflections and improvements in the teaching-learning and training process the nurse's professional and the second, a series of educational videos that can be used during the suggested workshop and in other learning moments, such as classes, internships, training and permanent education that have the nurse's skills as their theme. It is hoped that the research may contribute to rethink teaching and preceptorship practices, making it possible to point out suggestions for improvements and new directions for the improvement of nursing education and professional qualification.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • Empathy is an ability linked to Emotional Intelligence (EI) that needs to be cultivated
and directly interferes with the human being's ability to interact and relate to other
people, being described in the literature as one of the most striking characteristics of
great medical professionals. The present Academic Work of Course Completion
(TACC) aims to investigate how the levels of empathy are manifested in medical
students, from a private institution in northeastern Brazil, throughout their
undergraduate course, and wants to emphasize the importance of attributing to the
development and improvement of the empathic construct in students, to the teaching
of the so-called medical humanities, the art of caring, the same emphasis given to the
acquisition of technical-scientific knowledge during academic training, so that these
future doctors can better deal with diversity of ethical and affective clashes that they
will face in their daily professional practice and, in this way, they will be able to establish
more satisfactory and successful doctor-patient relationships that meet the needs of
contemporary society. As a product of this study, the MedCine Project was created,
which brings cinema into the classroom as a powerful media-education tool that
provides medical students with a broader understanding of the human being and favors
the acquisition and consolidation of essential skills in person-centered health care.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • With the aim of describing the characteristics of professional nurse training according to the
Pedagogical Project of a higher education institution in the public administrative sphere in the
state of Pernambuco and analyzing the profile of training and fundamental skills for health
promotion that can affect the practice and health care for the population. This is a case study,
with a quantitative approach, where professors, students and the political pedagogical project of
the Nursing course were researched. We address the National Policy and the definition of Health
Promotion and the curricular competences for health promotion worked on in the training of
professional nurses. Therefore, we performed a search in data platforms, carefully reviewing and
selecting studies to better support our study; we analyzed the competences for health promotion
in nursing education in the context of the course; in the pedagogical project of the course, we
identified the profile of professional training, the desired skills and abilities and the
corresponding domain of competence for health promotion; we identified in the curricular matrix
the subjects offered on or that mention the themes of public, collective health and health
promotion and what students and teachers say about the teaching of health promotion. It is
concluded that the findings reveal that the course's pedagogical project, curricular matrix and
subject plans do not present differentiated pedagogical strategies that facilitate the development
of competences for health promotion. And that there are no strategies in the curriculum under
analysis that can insert students into the reality of services and the community from the initial
periods and a curriculum integration between theory and practice and between the basic cycle and
the professional cycle. According to the professors and students, the teaching of health promotion
in nursing education in the course setting of this study, it is recommended to create and
strengthen appropriate pedagogical strategies for health promotion in the local setting, favoring
the integration of theory and practice and the integration of teaching- service-community, and
proximity to social contexts and their determinants of health and disease. Although the study is of
a particular reality, it allows revealing a set of situations and realities in the process of training
nurses' skills, with the possibility of bringing scenarios closer to other realities. The need to
analyze how health promotion is addressed in the curricular proposals for nursing courses at
higher education institutions is highlighted. As a part product, a Podcast was produced with the
theme: Health Promotion in the training of nurses in PODCAST. With the objective of helping
professors and managers of undergraduate nursing courses to reflect on the importance of health
promotion in professional nursing education and as a simplified guideline on how to work on the
main competencies in health promotion in this process of professional education. Podcast appears
as a very effective alternative technological tool to be used in the transmission of information and
effectively assist in the learning process. For the production of a podcast as a resource for the
dissemination of the product produced, initially, a study guide was drawn up on skills in health
promotion, with three guiding axes of discussion, which gave rise to three chapters, available free
of charge in a streaming platform, namely: 1) Standardizing professional skills in health

promotion; 2) Ethical values and basic knowledge that guide competences for health promotion
and 3) The domains of competences for health promotion. This product is a way to publicize a
theoretical reflection on the development of skills in health promotion. As this is a theoretical
construct, the result of a bibliographic search, however, it can serve as the beginning of a
deepening and discussion of competences in health promotion.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • COVID-19 is a contagious disease, of immeasurable proportions, caused by SARS-CoV-2 (new coronavirus). Due to this scenario, we are facing a great challenge, for which we still don't have all the answers. This study aimed to identify the influence of the pandemic on quality of life and its relationship with the permanence of students enrolled in the Psychology course at campus AC Simões, Federal University of Alagoas. This is a quantitative research, obtained with the application of the Likert-type scale instrument added by a situational and sociodemographic inventory and the assessment of quality of life through the WHOQOL-bref tool. Based on the research results, it was possible to reflect and dialogue about care practices and new procedures for the functioning of classes, learning and administrative components, adopting virtuality to replace face-to-face care. The results suggest that the pandemic situation can be considered a determinant that affects different dimensions of students' lives and, in view of such changes, digital transformations will come to play a leading role in life inside and outside universities.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • Communicating difficult news is defined as information that severely modifies the perspective that the patient has about their future life in view of the delicate health situation in which they find themselves, emphasizing that this type of communication is something that is part of the routine of health professionals. health. In this context, the general objective was to analyze the knowledge and practices about the communication of difficult news from a multidisciplinary health residency in a public teaching hospital. This is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach of the case study type, with an exploratory characteristic. The information produced was based on a focus group comprising 11 residents of the Multidisciplinary Residency for Adult and Elderly Health (RMSAA), and the data obtained in light of the content analysis of Bardin and Malheiros in the composition of three analytical categories: 1) Meanings of the process of communicating bad news and leading the action; 2) Learning and practical experience; and 3) Challenge in dealing with emotions and the relevance of efficient communication. With the results obtained, we can verify that there are difficulties of multidisciplinary health residents in understanding what could be bad news, always associating it with deaths and terminal illnesses, as well as this responsibility to communicate does not belong to a single professional. There is a clear need for professionals to acquire experience, know methods that teach the art of communicating difficult news, and that this is something very important and challenging for the multidisciplinary team. And, the biggest challenge faced with a difficult news communication is the emotional issue. It is perceived that the topic of communicating bad news deserves a greater focus on health services. We believe that the results of this research may contribute to arouse the need for discussion on the topic in the education of students and health professionals, enabling them to deal more efficiently with this reality. And, finally, as an educational product proposal based on the results found in this study, an educational video and a mini ebook were built in order to discuss the topic of communicating difficult news.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • Introduction: this work consists of an article and three educational products from the research entitled: The Teaching of Communication in Medical Education: a perspective to promote comprehensive care. It is possible to notice that relational skills such as communication and empathy are important tools for medical practice. These strengthen the bond between doctor and patient and promote co-responsibility in care. Empathy enables a more comprehensive look at the other and their experience. Many studies relate the importance of addressing empathic and communication skills during undergraduate teaching, proposing ways to exercise empathy and pointing out possible paths for teaching with a view to developing empathic potential, considered essential to achieve better results in health care. The motivation for this study came from the author's personal, academic and professional experience, who over the years working in public health observed problems related to communication with the patient. The Professional Master's Degree in Health Education was a journey of a lot of learning that provided new discoveries, especially in the universe of research, with the richness of the interdisciplinary perspective, linking to this the great power of education and teaching in health, a fruitful space for construction of good care practices. Objective: the research aimed to analyze the contribution of communication education in the training of medical students at a public university in northeastern Brazil as a promotion in fostering comprehensive care. Method: a focus group was carried out with 06 medical students from the 11th period, data analysis was carried out according to the method proposed by Malheiros. Results: it was shown that the teaching of communication in the medical training of medical students at the public university surveyed is still shallow and underexplored. Despite the efforts of some professors to promote discussions and reflections on the topic, the approach is still fragmented, which hinders the development of communication skills throughout training, as recommended in the National Curriculum Guidelines (DCNs) of the course. graduation in Medicine. The performance of students in communication with the patient is not evaluated during the training course, based on this, the educational products proposed in this TACC intend to contribute as tools for teaching and evaluating the communication skills of the medical student.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • This Academic Work of Course Completion - TACC aimed to analyze the process of pedagogical training and construction of the teaching identity of professors at the Faculty of Medicine of the Federal University of Alagoas. This is an exploratory descriptive study with a quantitative-qualitative approach, carried out on the premises of the Faculty of Medicine-FAMED of the Federal University of Alagoas. To know the profile, an online questionnaire created in Google Forms was applied to all medical professors (119), but only 39 answered the questionnaire. In a second moment, the technique of semi-structured interviews was used, carried out with 15 professors who participated in the first stage (answering the questionnaire) and who agreed to participate in the interview. For the speech analysis step, content analysis was used as proposed by Bardin. During the speech analysis process, the following categories of analysis were identified: teacher training and teaching practice, in addition to the subcategories: formal education, teaching experience, teaching and learn by doing. It was evident in the conclusion that most teachers have training in the pedagogical area, but that, in the case of many teachers, it was acquired during their career and the teaching identity was built as they gained experience, improving their teaching practice. Based on these results, a guidebook was created as a product with the title: "How to plan, organize and carry out a pedagogical journey in Medicine courses", with the aim of assisting the undergraduate coordination of the medicine course in carrying out the Pedagogical Day.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • According to the World Health Organization (WHO) Patient Safety is defined as the reduction of risk of damage or injury according to the International Classification of Patient Safety (CISP) Based on assistance care, within a minimally acceptable limit, as some risk that brings the possibility of an incident: the error related to failure in health care, ineffective or incorrect implementation of a care plan or even adverse events. In detriment of this approach, this study aimed to analyze the perception of students about Patient Safety during the Undergraduate Nursing Program at the ASCES-UNITA University. This is a unique Case Study, exploratory in nature with a qualitative approach, carried out in March 2021, applied to twelve students of the ninth period of the course, eight females and four males from the aforementioned university. An Online Focus Group (GFO) was held in compliance with current health regulations resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic regarding learning from the student's point of view about patient safety. Among the results found, it was divided into three categories on patient safety: teaching in the classroom; curricular internships; and, attributes for the management of future nurses. There is no specific discipline for this subject, each docente teaches as he/she thinks necessary during the course, but the students did not feel harmed and believe that the teachings are sufficient to understand the protocols. This study generated a scientific article and two educational products: one of them was the Educational E-book entitled "Have you studied what is Patient Safety today?" and PodCasts on the same theme, both validated by a panel of experts and published in the EduCAPES repository.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • Teaching can be understood as all the activities of teachers focused on teaching,
research and extension aimed at training new professionals. In higher education,
teaching requires several processes supported by the dynamics of interaction and
sharing of knowledge, in a two-way way between teachers and students, that is, they
exchange the roles of teachers and learners. This study aims to understand the
assessment and feedback strategies applied in teaching and learning in the
undergraduate nursing course during remote teaching in the undergraduate nursing
course of a private school in Maceió, Alagoas. This is a research with a qualitative
approach, of the single and instrumental case study type, at an exploratory level, with
fourteen teachers who work in remote teaching mediated by technology during the
pandemic period since March 2020. Data collection took place in February 2021
through a semi-structured questionnaire with twenty-four questions on the Google
forms platform, sent by email and a message application, individually. In the
treatment and analysis of the data, the Laurence Bardin content analysis technique
was used, which are organized into three interdependent and interrelated stages.
The results were organized into two thematic categories: 1) Academic description of
the professors of the undergraduate nursing course; 2) Challenges faced by teachers
in remote teaching and assessment. The results show that most teachers have a lato
sensu and stricto sensu specialization level education, 88% report having received
training in the use of technology in remote education. However, several difficulties
related to managers, teachers and students, such as teacher training influence the
pedagogical activities developed, in addition to portraying the need for more
improvement strategies related to technology in education through remote teaching.
It is clear that remote classes have become a viable alternative for the period of
social isolation, and that this practice led teachers to seek new strategies to teach,
evaluate and give feedback, demonstrating characteristics of resilience and
resilience in the midst of so many adverse situations . These conditions lead
teachers to a reality with a perspective on technological innovation applied to health
    education.

No
contextualizadas, articuladas e problematizadas com abordagem interdisciplinar e
transdisciplinar.
implementação do PGRSS.

Nesse sentido,

  • According to the National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA), a continuing education program is mandatory for workers and everyone involved in waste management activities, even if they are workers who work temporarily without a job or even relatives of the sick. That it is important in order to guide, motivate, raise awareness and permanently inform everyone involved about the risks and appropriate waste management procedures, in accordance with the precepts of waste management. This should occur in establishments whose activities involve any stage of health care waste management, be they public and private, philanthropic, civil or military, including those that carry out teaching and research actions. Studies point out that health professionals do not leave their graduations with the necessary or sufficient skills to manage the health-care waste produced because of their care practices. Therefore, this study aimed to assess whether this topic is addressed in a Multiprofessional Family Health Residency Program, since residency programs should followprinciples and guidelines of the Unified Health System (SUS), based on local and regional needs and reality. This study is an exploratory study with a qualitative approach. I used the focus group technique for data collection. The sample included eight residents of a Multiprofessional Family Health Residency Programof a public Higher Education Institution (HEI) in Maceió, Alagoas. The residents who participated in the survey were between 24 and 31 years old, on the date of collection, 50% were female and 50% male. Only one of the interviewees had more than one degree, both in the health field, and 37.5% of the residents already had a lato sensu postgraduate course in health. I classified the material resulting from the transcriptions according to sets of Bardin’s analytical categories. As a result, the following thematic categories emerged, in response to the object of study: segregation of Health Services Waste (RSS), classification of RSS and Health Services Waste Management Plan (PGRSS). The importance of including the theme in undergraduate courses in the health and environment areasespecially in Multiprofessionalhealth residency programs, as they focus on in-service education. According to the professionals’ speeches and the topicresearch analysis, it is evident fragility, unpreparedness and/or service preceptors’ lack of mastery regarding to health-care waste management in practice locations and inexistent or insufficient approach of the theme by professors during graduation. We concluded that preceptor’s qualification in Health Higher Education emerges as a great tool for the transformation of health education in the country. That would enable students to develophealth care professionals’essential skills and competencies for an effective participation in the elaboration of a Plan Health Services Waste Management (PGRSS), knowledge of legislation and good practices related to Health Services Waste (RSS). In addition, it would allow the enhancing of their responsibilities with regard to human and animal health, protection of the environment and renewable natural resources, thus motivating the training of professionals aware of their social and environmental responsibilities.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • This Academic Course Completion Work (TACC) had as main objective to investigate
the knowledge about the Harm Reduction (RD) strategy among students of Nursing
and Medicine courses at a public university in Maceió. This is a qualitative research
conducted with a group of 28 students (16 from the undergraduate nursing course
and 12 from the undergraduate medical course), in 2019. Two focus groups were
held with the participation of a moderator, observer and the students, using a script
with seven guiding questions. The speeches were recorded, transcribed and the
textual contents were processed using the IRAMUTEQ software. Six classes were
generated after the analysis: class 1: Alcohol and other drugs policy; class 2:
Learning about the topic; class 3: Approach of the theme in the course, class 4
called: Harm Reduction Strategy; class 5: Understanding the concept of Harm
Reduction and class 6: Discussion of the topic Harm Reduction during graduation. It
was observed that the analyzed groups have knowledge on Harm Reduction,
requiring a better learning on the subject. Based on these results, a webinar on Harm
Reduction as an educational product was motivated where knowledge about the
concept, history, current scenario in Brazil and in the world, and approach to teaching
was discussed and shared. It can thus be used for updates on the subject and as a
    research source.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • Medical Residency is a form of in-service training based on supervised patient care. The teaching-learning process at the Medical Residency is complex and dynamic. It demands that the resident deepen and expand the meanings elaborated through his participation, while requiring the preceptor to permanently exercise reflective work, in addition to availability for monitoring, conducting research and care practices. This study aims to contribute to a reflection on the teaching methodologies used in the Medical Residency Program. It aimed to analyze the perception of resident physicians about the teaching-learning process related to the Pediatric Medical Residency Program of a University Hospital in Northeast Brazil. This is a qualitative research that used semi-structured interviews for data collection and included the participation of twelve residents of the Pediatric Medical Residency Program. The data were worked through content analysis. The results led to the identification of strengths and weaknesses of the medical residency program in Pediatrics. Such results enabled the construction of an action plan for the training of the preceptors of the Residence in question. First, strategic planning was carried out by elaborating a SWOT matrix and then an action plan for training preceptors, which involved holding a workshop to present the teaching strategy called One Minute Preceptor. As a product of this research, a technical-scientific report was prepared containing the entire constructive process about the teaching methodology used, and a technical manual to facilitate the realization of new workshops. Both will be presented to the coordination of the Medical Residence of Pediatrics to encourage the discussion on training in teaching for preceptors.
