University education. University Extension. Resume
The objective of this study was to analyze the perceptions of students in the health area of a Public Higher Education Institution in Alagoas about the curricularization process of the University Extension. Exploratory study, with a qualitative approach, which used as a data collection instrument the semi-structured interview with eleven students who had at least two years of experience in extension projects at the University. Data were analyzed using Bardin's Content Analysis technique, in thematic mode. The thematic categories outlined were: extension curricularization from the student's point of view; skills and competences developed in university extension; obstacles and challenges of extension curricularization. Based on these categories, we infer that discussions on this topic are still incipient in the local reality, requiring greater clarification from all the actors that make up the university, in addition to the importance of the entire academic community to collectively build mechanisms that expand the appreciation, the recognition of extension as a formative dimension and the possibility of pedagogical transformation.
