SUMMARY:

This Course Completion Academic Work - TACC of the Professional Master's Degree in Health Teaching at the Faculty of Medicine of the Federal University of Alagoas consists of two parts: the first is composed of a scientific article and the second, of two educational technical products, derived from of the research: “Palliative Care and the student training path of a multidisciplinary residency in health in a public teaching hospital”. The Palliative Care theme is of great relevance and training and knowledge about this care directly impact the quality of health care. The motivation for this research came from the personal and professional experience of the author, who over the years working directly within the scope of SUS in a public teaching hospital, observed gaps in patient care in Palliative Care. It aims to understand the training path in Palliative Care of students of the Multidisciplinary Residency in Adult and Elderly Health at a public hospital. This is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach of the case study type, with an exploratory characteristic. A focus group was carried out with the participation of 7 2nd year residents. Data analysis was carried out according to the method proposed by Malheiros (2011), based on the participants' speeches, and organized into categories: 1) Training course in CCPP; 2) Palliative Care as Quality of Life; 3) Palliative Care versus terminal illness and technology. Thus, we produced a scientific article, with the title: Palliative Care and the student training path of a multidisciplinary residency in health in a public teaching hospital", which had as its main objective to understand the training path in Palliative Care of students of the Multidisciplinary Residency in Health of the Adult and Elderly in a public hospital”, title equal to the research. As educational products: Product 1: e-book “Cuidados Palliativos – Saber para Cuidar”, a didactic material, accessible, practical, free and easy-to-understand textual product; product 2: application prototype: “Palliative Care – Knowing to Care”, viable for training skills and knowledge on the subject. The aim of this work is to contribute to the teaching of Palliative Care within the scope of the SUS, in a public teaching hospital, and to collaborate in the integration of teaching, service and community to improve care practices.
