“FAÇAMOS NÓS COM NOSSAS MÃOS TUDO QUE A NÓS NOS DIZ RESPEITO”: THE HISTORY OF ANARCHISM AND REVOLUTIONARY TRADE UNION IN ALAGOAS (1906-1920)
Anarchism - Revolutionary Unionism - Social History of Labor - First Republic - Alagoas
The present work aims to analyze, in general terms, the anarchist experience in Alagoas in the beginning of the 20th century, precisely the first two decades, 1900-1920. We will seek to reflect on some issues that involve the study of this experience, considering its main sources, of which we will make a brief presentation together with the bibliography on anarchism in Alagoas (what has already been studied, researched, written etc. in depth or just tangentially) ). Finally, we indicate the need to think about anarchism in Alagoas as a collective project, which precedes and surpasses the militancy of Otávio Brandão and Antonio Bernardo Canellas, as well as thinking about the period of this experience in the First Republic based on nuances and not as a homogeneous and generalizing period.
