“CLEAN WATER”: A SYSTEM FOR REMOVING INORGANIC CONTAMINANTS FROM IRRIGATION WATER
IN THE SEMI-ARID REGION OF ALAGOAS"
Technological innovation; Remediation; Agricultural production; Semi-arid Alagoas; Food security.
With new challenges being faced in modern agriculture and the scarcity of research in the sertão region of Alagoas,
problems caused by population growth, scarcity of environmental resources and consequences involving surface water quality and groundwater in this region are relevant. In this sense, it is necessary to develop new alternatives related to food and nutritional security, sustainability, productivity and the quality of agriculture, all of which depend on the use of contaminant-free irrigation water. With this problem in mind, this project presents a system for removing inorganic contaminants as a possibility for treating irrigation water for people who use family farming, with the aim of improving cultivation, productivity and planting quality in semi-arid climate.
