THE EXPERIENCE OF A SCHOOL RADIO: EXERCISING LITERACY WITH ORAL AND WRITTEN LANGUAGES
IN THE 9TH GRADE CLASS OF ELEMENTARY EDUCATION
Portuguese language. Teaching. School Radio. Written production. Orality.
This work describes and discusses the process of implementing a Radio School with 9th grade students, composed of 43 students between 13 and 14 years old from the Portuguese Language component of the Onélia Campelo State School, Santos Dumont neighborhood, in Maceió (AL). The objectives of the Radio project are to offer a space where students can practice and improve their reading, writing and speaking skills in a practical and dynamic way. Students will be involved in the production of radio programs and will work as a team, exploring their creativity and developing the ability to create relevant and interesting content. The objects of analysis in this research will be: the written production of different genres and the development of prosody and orality, as well as the social engagement of students through radio programs. The guiding theoretical references, for now, are the works of Baltar (2012) and Santos & Flores (2022). The project to create Rádio Escola is still in the planning phase and the research is in the theoretical foundation phase.
