SUMMARY:
Thinking about the relationship between Philosophy and Education takes us back to the tradition of philosophy itself as a contemplative and critical-forming attitude of ethical – political reality. The proposal of a theoretical-methodological discussion about its doing is imposed by the need to consolidate the importance of its teaching, going beyond the boundaries of an imposition of pre-established contents arising from curricular practice with the teaching of Philosophy and giving new meaning, through the exercise of dialogue and the praxis of argumentative conversation, the construction of skills and competencies for teaching and learning philosophizing in basic education. The study of this doctoral thesis has a qualitative approach, as takes the time to analyze 10 theses from PROFFILO-UFPE – Teaching in Philosophy – in depth. After all, in addition to quantifying disseminated production, it aims to identify the types of productions and the themes studied. Regarding the type of methodological study, it is of a State of the Art for having an investigative bias of a bibliographic nature that maps the scientific productions depending on a given area to answer how the knowledge at a given time. Starting from a central problem which is that of seek to answer what is the nature of teaching philosophy in high school and the possibilities of his dialogue with Axel Honneth's Theory of Recognition. Axel Honneth (1949), is the most influential representative of the third generation of the Frankfurt School, reviving the young Hegel of the Jena period (1801-1806) and confronting him empirically with psychology Mead's social theory, elaborates his critical social theory with conflict as its central core. The fight by recognition it becomes the moral grammar of social conflicts, that is, this struggle becomes be understood as an ethical act.
