SUMMARY:

In this study, learning is conceived as a broad dimension of life, related to human existence. Related eminently to action, to the creation of ways of being in different social contexts and instances of life. The objective of the research is to understand the relationship between the sense of life and learning from the life story of a teacher from Alagoas and the multiple relationships between individual and collective historical scopes. The relationship between sense (meaning), life and learning is carried out having the hermeneutic existential phenomenology of Alagoas psychologist Afonso Lisboa da Fonseca as the main theoretical foundation. The conception of the meaning of life is based on Phenomenology and Nietzsche's Philosophy of Life.The conception of learning, in turn, is based on the work of Afonso Fonseca. The research problem is expressed as follows: What is the relationship between the elaboration of the sense of life and the lifelong learning process, and their multiple relationships in individual and collective spheres in the life history of an educator? The thesis worked is the following: The sense of life happens as an existential phenomenological action, and unfolds as lifelong learning, in multiple relationships of individual and collective dimensions. Metodologicamente trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa, cuja abordagem pode ser caracterizada como fenomenológica existencial hermenêutica. The reference research participant is an educator from Alagoas, whose life story is based on the research. Family members, friends, former co-workers and former students will also be sought, in order to seek to create a constellation of meanings about the history of the reference participant in the research, in addition to seeking its contextualization. The instruments used for data collection and knowledge production are: semi-structured interviews, production of narratives, research diary, in addition to the analysis of various personal documents of the reference research participant. The understanding of the knowledge produced and the analysis of the collected data is done through a method developed by the researcher and called: “Constellational Approach and Phenomenological Existential Hermeneutics”. The method developed by Belo and Pereira (in press) called “Interview Analysis by Decoupage, Thematic Nucleus and Typology” is also used for the specific analysis of the narratives and interviews, being a grounded proposal of the phenomenology of social action by Alfred Schutz. At the current moment of the research, data analysis has not been started, on the other hand, the systematic organization of the same, yes. Currently, around 75% of the sources and research records are cataloged and less than 20% of the interviews carried out. Preliminary results point to the viability of the theoretical framework adopted and the methodology developed to understand the relationship between meanings of life and learning in the life story of an educator.
