SUMMARY:

Postgraduate works in the área of Education, for almost 20 years, present discussions around research ethics. There is a gap when looking for literature addressing this topic in the under graduates cenario, opposing the perspective that the ethical training of there searcher should begin when contact with research begins, in graduation. This study aimed to investigate how the topic of Ethic sapplied to Research is presented in under graduate courses in Pedagogy in a state in the northeast region of Brazil. Thisis a qualitative research, characterized as applied, exploratory and withcross-sectional design. A case study was developed consisting of several case units, comprising the cases of this research are seven undergraduate courses in pedagogy in a state in the northeastregion of Brazil. Characterization of the cases: face-to-face courses; recognized by the MEC; six are linked to public institutions and one is part of the private education network; they have been operating for more than 10 yearsand are part of na official research funding program or teaching improvement program. The object of documentary study of this research were Course Completion Works (TCC) between the years 2020 and 2023 and documents that regulate the functioning of Pedagogy courses. As research instruments were used: a virtual questionnaire and a virtual interview carried out with the teachers and coordinators of the selected courses. Documents, questionnaires and interviews were interpreted based on qualitative criteria. The validity of the construct in this study tookin to account the convergence of elements found in documents, questionnaires and interviews. The results of the questionnaires show that the theme is al most not mentioned in the graduation, when mentioned it is part of discussions about normative criteria and little is mentioned about there searcher's posture. The TCC salso do not describe there searcher's ethical commitment in most of the evaluated works. Many works mention the presence of people as participants and minimum criteria such as preserving the identity of collaborators are not preserved. The professors and coordinators Who answered the questionnaire and the interview mentioned not having experienced discussions that could encourage work with the theme att heundergraduat elevel. The current normative criteria regulated by the medical model of do ingresearch are referredto as the most used, since field research is submitted to the Ethics Committees of the Universities. Despite the institutions registering researchinitiation work. It was not relevant the researcher's formative character in the graduation, for the interviewees this would be the role of the post-graduation. This study can be considered relevant as it can contribute to the Initial Training of Teachers and instigatethe training institutions for the need to present the theme in na educational dimension, enabling na effectively ethical training of there searchereven in the graduation in Pedagogy. The results of this investigation Will contribute to students and teachers Who seek to present the ethical debate in their research since graduation and Will indicate institutional strategies that can be developed to qualify research and researchers in education.
