THE INTERIORIZATION OF HIGHER EDUCATION BY THE OPEN UNIVERSITY OF BRAZIL: A CASE STUDY IN THE CITY OF PORTO CALVO-AL.

This study aims to analyze the strategies, factors and conditions of internalization of higher education involved in the public policy Sistema Universidade Aberta do Brasil (UAB) created to expand training in higher education using the distance education modality (Ead). The Public Administration Pilot Course was analyzed, offered in 22 higher education institutions and in Alagoas in three distance learning centers: Maceió, Porto Calvo and Santa do Ipanema, with UFAL being the first institution to offer higher education through UAB. The implementation of the course, the sociocultural and technological changes involved in offering the course by UAB at UFAL will be analyzed, based on interviews available in the EaD Memory Project interview pool at UFAL, in addition to interviews with tutors and questionnaires applied to graduates of the Pilot Course to learn about the impact of this internalization experienced in the researched center, emphasizing the growth and development of UAB in Porto Calvo-AL.
