A web tool for pre-processing data for modeling
hydrological in large basins
Computational Hydrology, Data Management, MGB-IPH
Hydrological models require a series of geographic and temporal data. Thus, the acquisition and organization process in the pre-processing stages consumes time and computational skills, which can make learning and using the model more difficult. In this sense, several works focus on the optimization of pre-processing, and thus, favor the simulation and analysis stages of the results. Despite the existence of desktop tools, constant technological evolution allows the migration of models to the web, according to the various advantages that are acquired, for example, remote access to data and greater ease of collaboration. Thus, the present work aims to provide a web tool that automates the pre-processing of data for the hydrological model MGB-IPH. The tool must be tested in basins of different scales and the processing time will be compared to that of the IPH-Hydro tools. From the results, it is expected that the tool contributes to optimizing simulations with the MGB-IPH and, therefore, to saving time in the water resources management processes.
