PROTOTYPED DIGITAL TWIN FOR THE MANAGEMENT AND OPERATION OF THE ADDUCTOR CANAL OF THE SERTÃO ALAGOANO
Digital Twin. Hydraulic Modeling. Adductor Canal of the Sertão Alagoano
This work proposes the creation of a Digital Twin (DG) prototype for the management and operation of the Adductor Canal of Sertão Alagoas. The methodology consists of performing the integration of hydraulic and hydrological models, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Big Data (BD) and Internet of Things (IoT) to develop a predictive tool, of low uncertainty, with automatic update capacity of models and databases. The Canal Adutor do Sertão Alagoano, as a water infrastructure, can be divided into four components: supervision and control, computational processing, DG and water users. Given that the water sectors already perform simulations with computational models, the integration of new technology (IoT, AI, AM and BD) for the development of a DG can provide a better management of water resources and optimize the processes of the water infrastructure. It is expected that GD will be able to provide new insights for water distribution, drainage, and treatment systems. DG emerges as an extremely useful tool for water resources management, as it has the ability to simplify data collected by the water sector and present it in a new format for efficient day-to-day use. A large and important water infrastructure such as the Canal Adutor do Sertão Alagoas should have an intelligent management system that is able to ensure water demands efficiently by integrating technologies, public agencies, users, and organized civil society.
