TITLE:

CORRELATION BETWEEN BIO-HYDROGEN PRODUCTION AND CHEMICAL COMPOSITION OF DIFFERENT RESIDUES

KEY WORDS:

Hydrogen Production; Influence of chemical composition;
Substrate characteristics; Principal component analysis.

PAGES: 52
BIG AREA: Engenharias
AREA: Engenharia Sanitária
SUMMARY:

Currently, as the need for developing methods
sustainable energy sources, hydrogen has stood out mainly because it is a
of energy sources that can be produced in several ways, among which,
being one of the most notable ways, its biological production through waste
industrial and domestic that have high concentrations of organic matter,
reconciling issues of environmental emissions, sustainability and safety
energy. In this context, the objective of this work is to perform a correlation between
the production of hydrogen and the influence of the chemical composition of five residues
different (vinasse, molasses, manipueira, whey and brewery residue) with
based on a principal component analysis. The study will be carried out in three
main steps: I) Batch Tests - to evaluate the characteristic variables
of substrates and hydrogen production; II) Statistical analysis - interrelate
the effect of the variables, through a principal component analysis (PCA),
develop and adopt a hydrogen productivity prediction model. III)
Validation – validation of the suggested model using a dataset
independent. The generated data will be processed with the help of the software
free statistical R Project, for multivariate statistical analysis.
