SUMMARY:

In Brazil, researches that study the annoyance caused by aeronautical noise on the population close to airports are still not very expressive. As a result of the effects harmful effects caused by aeronautical noise caused by the operation of aircraft, they must be located far from urban areas. In some cases, cities develop in direction to airports due to the infrastructure and savings generated by urban expansion in the area. In the case of the surroundings of Maceió International Airport, urban occupation occurred in the recent decades and is still in the consolidation phase, in which an increase in the number of of housing developments. This work aims to present a study on the existing connection between the master plans of Maceió, Rio Largo and the airport, in order to contribute with possible guidelines for integration with the urban instrument. THE applied methodology consists of a comparative analysis of the compatibility of the master plan and the land use and occupation laws of the municipalities of Maceió in relation to the International Airport from Maceió – Zumbi dos Palmares in order to investigate the possible influences of the airport on the built-up space and the mutual interferences between air operations and city life. It is proposed to collect data regarding the geometric and morphological characteristics of the area that will consist of investigating and identifying the approach to acoustics in the master plan for Maceió and analyze the themes that address the acoustic issues, for this analysis, propose the guidelines and prepare the contribution letter for the review of the Master Plan in relation to the airport. The information presented in this work may serve as subsidies to the planning and design of cities with regard to acoustic comfort. The search aims guide the integration between laws aimed at airport development and its healthy surroundings.
