SUMMARY:

In view of the current pandemic context, in which it is necessary to adoptsanitary measures for natural air renewal and social distancing, theprison environments become accomplices in the propagation of the contamination ofviruses such as SarsCOV2.Overcrowding in prisons, which many timestimes, they were no longer in good physical condition before the pandemic, it cancontribute to the increased risk of contagion due to its weaknessesarchitectural.This research proposes a qualitative and phenomenological studybased on theoretical foundation and data collection from case studyat the Women's Prison of the State of Sergipe-Brazil (PREFEM) for an analysisarchitecture on the functional quality of the health care unit ofwomen deprived of liberty, in times of a viral pandemic.It is about acritical analysis of space as a reflection of state action and the violation ofright to health of women imprisoned in a scenario conducive to the spread of diseasesinfectious.
