INVISIBLE VALUE: THE PRODUCTION OF BIOCLIMATIC PROJECTS IN THE VIRTUAL IMAGE ERA
comfort, architectural design, bioclimatic concepts, social networks
The consolidation of social networks as one of the main human forms of communication is an ongoing process whose future consequences are still a mystery. In this context, it is important to analyze how published content and the fast and visual format of these media may be reinforcing, within the architectural design process, an imbalance of importance between aesthetic and visual aspects and other “invisible” technical parameters such as the idea of comfort. When delimiting the scope of residential building projects, this problem is even more worrying when we consider that the domestic space has as one of its noblest functions the shelter and comfort of its inhabitants, and this function may be being neglected in the complex of the construction process. architectural design. In this way, this work discusses the hypothesis that social networks, especially Instagram, characterized by the hyper valuation of images and the dissemination of rapid information, influence the definition of values attributed to architectural projects, resulting in the simplification of spatial plastic aspects, reducing the importance of "invisible" elements - technical and qualitative aspects, including environmental comfort. In line with the objective of testing the presented hypothesis, this dissertation has the general objective of investigating the influence of the Instagram social network content dissemination method on the understanding of environmental comfort as a value attribute in residential architecture projects. Methodologically, the work presents itself as research of an applied nature, with exploratory objectives and a mixed approach, which considers quantitative and qualitative aspects. The main data collection tools used were bibliographic review, document analysis and application of forms.
