SUMMARY:

This research investigates the potencial contributions of students' reading practices and/or choices, as responsive-tactical subjects, in high school classrooms, regarding activities with literary reading in schools. The aim is to develop a framework for the formation of these subjects within the available genres, considering their connection to social practices (ZOZZOLI, 2015). Thus, given that readings undertaken by students during their formative process do not always find space in the classroom and are often disconnected from canonical readings (RAIMUNDO SILVA; ZOZZOLI, 2018) wich constitute the school repertoire, this research analyzes how reading practices, situated at the interface between so-called canonical readings and non-canonical readings, performed  by young readers, in high school, may or may not contribute to the formation of literary reader characterized actively responsive and tactical actions. To suport this analysis, the specific objectives include: identifying which reading practices employed by students, in the researched classroom context, have implications for the formation of subject-readers; verifying whether is effective teaching and learning of literature relevant to the development of literary readers; and, exploring the students' response to the teacher's role in relation to the texts covered in literary literacy practices (canonical readings) and those read and/or written by students (non-canonical readings) in the observed situation. The theoretical foundations for this reserch draw from Bakhtin (2003, 2015), and authors associated with the Circle such as Voloshinov (2017), who address the notion of dialogic subject; Bakhtin (2003) and De Certeau (1996), when referring to the category called, in this work, Responsive-Tactical Reader, a conceptual formulation that occurs through the combination of the ideas of responsive action and tactics of the respective aforementioned authors. Situated within the field of Applied Linguistics, LA, (MOITA LOPES, 2006), in a perspective that is grounded in dialogical language studies (BAKHTIN, 2003; VOLOCHINOV, 2017), this investigation adopts a qualitative approach, which departs from the experimental model and is based on the dynamic relationship between the cognizant subject and the cognizable object (CHIZZOTTI, 2005). The study also employs an ethnographic perspective (ANDRÉ, 1995) wich allows the dialogue and reflection between theory and practice considering diverse interpretations of the phenomenon researched in the field. Collaboration with the teacher in the reserched context is facilited through collaborative practices (GASPAROTTO; MENEGASSI, 2017). This collaboration involves voluntary cooperation among the researchers, which contributes to their own development, as well as a continuous (re)articulation of theoretical knowledge and practical expertise throughout the investigation. Data collection methods includes field notes  and audio recordings of classes, written questionnaires and two semi-structured interviews, one with volunteer students and the other with the participant teacher; The triangulation of collected data (TRIVIÑOS, 1987) enhances the qualitative approach by cross- refferencing different data sources and instruments, seeking a keen understanding of the researched phenomenon considering different possibilities of interpretation.
