SUMMARY:

This study aimed to understand Spanish language teaching experience lived in the Project Casas de Cultura no Campus (CCC-Spanish) related to the teaching-learning process in a critical and decolonial perspective, as well as my critical-reflective training and that of the other participants of a remote course in the Project Casas de Cultura no Campus of the Federal University of Alagoas. The research is inserted in the field of Applied Linguistics (MOITE LOPES, 2006) and theoretically based on the perspective of Critical Literacy (LANKSHEAR; KNOBEL, 1998; CERVETTI et al., 2001; LEWINSON et al., 2002; JORDÃO; FOGAÇA, 2007; MATTOS; VALERIO, 2010; SANTOS; IFA, 2013; JANKS, 2010; 2013; 2016, among others) and in decolonial studies (QUIJANO 2005; 2009; LANDER, 2005; GROSFOGUEL, 2007; MIGNOLO, 2000; BALLESTRIN, 2013; WALSH, 2013; OLIVEIRA, 2016; PARDO, 2019, among others). The methodology adopted is self-ethnography, it is a qualitative approach that narrates experiences, whether personal or professional, with the aim of criticizing, investigating and theorizing social experiences and practices (ADAMS et al., 2015; SANTOS, 2017; ONO, 2018; BEZERRA, 2019). The collection instruments adopted were: questionnaires (initial and final), class plans and materials, recordings of classes on Google Meet platform, reflective diaries of the teacher-researcher, reflective diary of the participants on the padlet platform, written productions, comments from students about classes and messages logs in WhatsApp and Gmail. The results revealed: a) that it is possible and necessary to transgress the teaching of Spanish language focused exclusively on grammatical and orthographic rules for a teaching-learning process aimed at a dynamic, politicized, questioning, critical and decolonial formation through practices that reflect and problematize attitudes of prejudice, LGBTQIA+ phobia, sexism and denialism, among other social issues, produced in and with the Spanish language; b) the unleashing of critical reflection by the participants on social issues for possible transformations and recovery of actions; c) my self-developing as a teacher, that through my experiences, livings and emotions, I to sought to transgress in pursuit of a society with social justice for everyone.
