The pronominal variation of the first person plural in the rural area of Pariconha/AL
Pronouns nós and a gente. Variation. Pariconha.
In this study, we traced the sociolinguistic profile of speakers from the rural area of Pariconha/AL in relation to the pronominal variation of the first person plural nós/a gente in the subject position, with the aim of analyzing whether there is variation between the pronouns in the speech of pariconheces and which linguistic and social factors favor it. Therefore, we resorted to Variationist Sociolinguistics (LABOV, 2008), which deals with linguistic variation and change, in which different linguistic uses in their social context are discussed. Following some basic steps, the dependent variable and the independent variables were defined: tense, morphemic mark, formal parallelism, phonic salience, determination of the referent, gender, age and education. Thus, to achieve the objectives proposed in this study, we used the sample from Silva (2020), collected in the community of Pariconha/AL. For the statistical analysis of the data, we will use the computer program R (R CORE TEAM, 2018) and, through it, we check whether the factors we control present interference in the studied phenomenon.
