SUMMARY:

The aim of this research is to investigate, from the perspective of Cultural Studies and Utopianisms, the figuration of indigenous people in Brazilian popular songbook and analyze their poetic discourses. From the reading/listening and analysis of these compositions, I elaborated analytical axes that I divided into three thematic blocks: Representations of gender, Indiofuturism and relations with the land, which correspond. In chapter one, Plural Feminisms: from Latin America to Abya Yala, I analyze the songs “Iracema Voo” (1998) by Chico Buarque and “Mão Vermelhas” (2019) by Kaê Guajajara from the perspective of Gender Studies, seeking approximations and differences between the theories of Intersectionality (LUGONES, 2008; ANDALZÚA, 2016 and MENDOZA, 2016) and Community Feminism (PAREDES, 2010; 2015; 2018). In the second chapter, entitled Indiofuturism: utopianism and hybridism in MPB, I postulate the concept of indiofuturism based on Bloch (2005) theorizations on utopianism, the concepts of hybridism (BHABHA, 2003; BURKE, ) and third cultural place (BHABA, 2003 ) and artistic movements, most notably North American Afrofuturism (DERY, 1995) and Brazilian anthropophagy (ANDRADE, 1928; ANDRADE;AMARAL, 1924), analyzing the songs “Um Índio” (VELOSO, 1977), “Xondaro Ka 'aguy Reguá” (KUNUMI, 2018) and “Tubi Tupy” (LENINE;RENNÓ, 1999). In the third chapter, Bem Viver and Ecotricism, I propose an analysis of the figuration of environmental issues in MPB and trace a dialogue between the concept of Good Living (as systematized by Acosta, 2016), which stems from the philosophy of Abya Yala's native peoples and the field of Ecocriticism studies, discussing concepts such as ecology, sustainability, among others. The works of Canclini (2008), Krenak (2018; 2019), Eagleton (2015) wisnik (1989), Gil and Risério (1988) will be used throughout the work because they raise questions that permeate the entire research. This thesis contributes to the expansion of the postulates of Brazilian Cultural Studies and Utopianisms, creating an overview of these artistic manifestations and proposing a new concept (indiofutursimo) and, in addition, analyzing together theories of feminisms and ecocriticism with studies that originate from the peoples themselves originates that are the Community Feminism and  Bem Viver, a theoretical work that is still in its beginnings in Brazil.
