This work aims, from the unveiling of meaning effects materialized in sayings of the online platform for hiring teachers Superprof, to promote reflections regarding the precariousness of teaching work, intensified by the recent “flexible” work modalities characterized in hiring applications such as Uber, Ifood, among others. To promote the analysis, we used Discourse Analysis (DA) as a theoretical basis, initially proposed by Michel Pêcheux in France and brought to Brazil especially by Eni Orlandi. This theoretical perspective makes it possible to reveal the ideological contradictions and clashes that determine the sustaining effects of materialities. We start from the understanding that discourse is human praxis that can only be understood from the knowledge of the social contradictions that make its objectification possible and we will use the theoretical-methodological assumptions of Discourse Analysis proposed by Michel Pêcheux (1988;1990), adding an interlocution with Bakhtin (2006) and Lukács (2013). Based on DA theoretical devices such as Conditions of Production, Interdiscourse and Memory, we found in the platform's sayings the process of "uberization" of teaching activities, as well as the re-signification of meanings in the perception of what it is to "be a teacher", resulting from from the in-depth subsumption of education to the logic of the market, in addition to the argumentative use of sayings from different discursive formations.
