SUMMARY:

This thesis has as its object the discourse of mining in Brazil, taking as reference the circulation of the meanings around the socio-environmental crime of the company Braskem in Maceió-AL, since 2018 has been promoting the compulsory eviction and the destruction of four residencial neighborhoods in that brasilian city. Affiliated to the theoretical and analytical device of Discourse Analysis (PÊCHEUX, 1997, 2014, 2015; ORLANDI, 2006, 2007, 2016, 2020), this thesis discusses the effects of meaning that are produced by the discourse of megamining related to mentioned crime. In dialogue with the colonial historiography (GALEANO, 1983), and with genealogy of mining in Latin America (ARÁOZ, 2020), this thesis argues that the discourse and multiple extractive practices of megamining today are coextensive and perpetuators of the process of primitive accumulation of the capatalism sistem (MARX, 2017b), since colonial period has been imposing severe consequences on nature and on various human communities. Examining the production conditions (COURTINE, 2014) of the mining discourse in Alagoas, this thesis describes the sequence of facts that resulted in mentioned socio-environmental crime. From the description and analisys of the production conditions and specific situations enunciation of the significant materialities that we analyse, this thesis shows how the key-terms of the public debate on this subject are decidedly influenced by subjection by the capitalism mining ideology. With its discoursive corpus composed by heterogeneous discoursive sequences, this thesis also discusses how the media (NECKEL, PFEIFFER, ZOPPI-FONTANA, 2017) and social communication apparatus of the megamining sector perform the function as decisive ideological apparatuses (ALTHUSSER, 1080) for the interpelation and subjetivation, whose porpose is to exempt the productive forces of capitalism from the socio-environmental violence that underlies it.
