This dissertation analyzes makeup as a compositional resource for the central character in the novel Uma Aprendiz ou O Livro dos Pleasures, by Clarice Lispector, based on Bakhtin's theory of the novel, studies on the history of beauty, by Umberto Eco, and Greek mythology. -Latin and in Lispector's critical fortune.
