AREA: Multidisciplinar
SUMMARY:

The course completion academic work (TACC) aimed to understand how the undergraduate teaching in the evaluated course has been organized: as an advisor for the training of an uncritical workforce for the health unit or as an agent of transformation in the qualification of the assistance aimed at the autonomy of the user. The methodology used a qualitative case study, through the documental analysis of the pedagogical project of the course (PPC). Analysis took place in two stages: 1st stage: analysis of the general text of the PPC, aiming to highlight the general teaching management model, processed with the Iramuteq software version 0.7 alpha 2. 2nd stage: analysis of the general text of the PPC by direct verification, no software support. Following the chronological steps: (1) definition of analysis categories (2) definition of record units (4) treatment of results and interpretation. The research results are presented in an original article entitled: training to care for cultural diversity in primary care in a nursing course. Through the double analysis, by direct reading and using the Iramuteq software, it demonstrates contradictions, and insufficient approach in the PPC corresponding to attention Iramuteq revealed three classes: - graduate profile (35.9%); - course organization (36.2%); - skills and abilities (27.9%). The direct analysis of the PPC shows little compatibility with Of a sample of 190 context units, forty-two (22.1%) had an incomplete approach. In the supervised internship (9th period), of the 19 possible record units, only four (21.5%) were found, but only two (10.5%) with specific mention of cultural diversity. It is concluded that from the documental analysis, it was possible to understand the current stage of development of the PPC and to verify that it is necessary to broaden the discussion among the institution's faculty about the importance of teaching more allied to current social demands in what is refers to cultural diversity.
