SUMMARY:

The present work deals with issues concerning controversies in the scientific field in the COVID-19 pandemic in Brazil. The objective is to reflect on the scientific and political fields and how they constitute the field of COVID-19 in Brazil, in this sense, the text seeks to shed light on the scientific debates that emerged from the pandemic with the contributions of the Social Studies of Science and Technology. We seek to base our perspective on the writings of Pierre Bourdieu and Harry Collins, bringing preliminary reflections from research that is still in its infancy.
