Characterization of organic matter from termite mounds in the agreste region of Alagoas state: prospects for agricultural application.
termite mounds; organic matter; mounds; humic substances.
The present work aims to extract and characterize the organic matter and humic substances present in mounds of termite mounds in pasture in two cities in the agreste region of Alagoas, São Sebastião and Feira Grande. The samples were analyzed by the Agreste Environmental Sciences Laboratory (LCAA), soil chemistry and physics laboratory at the Federal University of Alagoas, Arapiraca campus. This work aims to extract and characterize humic substances extracted from termite mound soils. The analyzes consisted of the determination of PH in water, organic matter of the samples will be determined by the calcination method, and the extraction of SH will occur by the method adopted by the International Society of Humic Substances (IHSS). absorbance readings will be taken at 270nm, 407nm, 465nm and 665nm, through the E4/E6 ratio. The characterization of the SH samples was carried out by infrared spectroscopy. The micro, macronutrients and metallic species will be determined by the open system digestion method. Therefore, this research becomes relevant to obtain a deeper knowledge about the organic matter of mounds of termite mounds in pastures in the state of Alagoas.
