The objective of this work is to evaluate the impact of government management on the homicide rate in the state of Alagoas, since it is in a continuous state of decline, going against the usual trend that existed in later years, where, commonly, Alagoas was located. among the most violent states in the country. Therefore, we seek to know how much the measures of Governor impacted this decrease. For this, the synthetic control method will be used, through which a counterfactual will be obtained for the reduction of homicides, in view of the impossibility of observing it in the presence and absence of the government after the introduction of the public policies used. during the regency. The analyzes will be based on indicators of a quantitative nature, but descriptive analyzes that will consider the history of violence in the state will also be considered.
