SUMMARY:

Introduction: Hypertension has been one of the most prevalent base comorbidities in the context of Covid-19 pandemic, it has been observed that these patients are at greater risk of developing severe postcovid infection and sequelae as well as worse prognosis of your basic disease. Thus it is necessary to understand how Covid-19 impacted on the health of patients with hypertension. Objective: To evaluate the prevalence of blood pressure control and associated factors between patients with systemic arterial hypertension in the context of Covid-19 pandemic. Methods: cross -sectional study nested to a retrospective cohort study conducted at the Cardiology outpatient services of Professor Alberto Antunes Hospital and Veredas Hospital. 110 patients with hypertension were included in drug treatment, to obtain the data, the application of questionnaires was chosen through face-to-face interview and analysis of the prescription. For verification of therapeutic adhesion to the antihypertensive drug, the Brief Question Medication (BQM) scale was applied. Results: The average age was 58.2 years (SD = 11.3) with female predominance (n = 75; 68.2%) among participants. As for marital status, most were married (45.5%), with the prevalence of 12 years of study (n = 42; 38.2%) of respondents. They were in double therapy with 43.64% antihypertensive and an average of 2.14 medications per patient. Only 32 participants presented control of blood pressure vs 78 (70.9%) for non -control of blood pressure. The average systolic blood pressure was 138.05 mmHg (SD = 19.988) and average diastolic blood pressure was 81.20 mmHg (SD = 11.631). The most prevalent underlying comorbidities among the hypertens of which (n = 75; 68.2%) reported having them, were dyslipidemia (31.8%) and diabetes (24.5%). Among the study participants 35.5% (n = 39) made use of drugs for prevention of COVID-19, 50 drugs were mentioned for this purpose, with an average of 1.28 medications per patient. Of which Ivermectin was the most prevalent (n = 21; 19.1%). Covid-19 prevalence between hypertensive people was (n = 41; 37.3%) and (n = 39; 35.5%) were treatment for Covid, however only (n = 25; 22.7%) They said they remembered the medicines, soon 69 drugs were prescribed, with an average of 2.76 medications per interviewee. For a general assessment of the adhesion profile, 25.5% of the sample was adherently and 41.8% as probable adhesion. According to the domains investigated for adhesion, the belief domain revealed 75% of participants adhering to controlled blood pressure, however, in the regime domain only 18.8% of adherents had the pressure values at normality levels. There was no significant difference between groups with controlled and non -controlled blood pressure when compared to adhesion domains (BMQregime p = 0.440; Bmqcrets p = 0.635; Bmqrecordações p = 0.368). Postcovid sequelae did not cause evidence in this study, as only (n = 24; 21.8%) referred to health problems after infection, and fatigue was the most prevalent (n = 9; 8.2%). Conclusion: It was observed that in the face of the factors associated with the control of systemic arterial hypertension and the factors associated with the Covid-19 pandemic context investigated here, for this population group there was no significant statistical difference in the control of P.A. Fact that can be attributed to the level of orientation of the studied population regarding the use of medicines for Covid-19.
