Protagonists or supporting characters? Reflections of a Basic Education teacher on the SAEB project in a PALEI peripheral school.
SAEB; PALEI, full time school
When analyzing the context of public schools in Alagoas in current times, it is possible to notice that a good part of them are already integrated into the Alagoas Program of Integral Education (hereinafter Palei). This program was restructured in 2016 by Decree 50.331/2016 and aimed at the need to expand opportunities for students from all over Alagoas until they complete their studies in basic education. In addition, according to the official document, the central objectives also involved the qualification of these students for the world of work and higher education, taking into account the diversity of the environment in which the Palei school would be inserted and the permanence of this student in full-time.
In this context, this document is based on the federal laws that govern the National Plan (Federal Law No. 13,005, of June 25, 2014) and State (State Law No. 7,795, of January 22, 2016) of Education, and in particular the goals 3, 6 and 7 of this. In addition to these, it takes as a principle education as a right for all, present in the Federal Constitution of 1988 and the Law of Guidelines and Bases of National Education (LDB 9.394/1996).
In this way, it is highlighted that the school that will be the work campus of this research is inserted within the Palei and follows three types of curricular matrices linked to it: Full Day High School, Full Day Primary School and New High School Full Day Middle School – the latter being progressively inserted from the beginning of 2022. With this, the modalities are added to Elementary School / final years and full-time High School, with a class load of nine hours a day.
