SUMMARY:

Sex education is a guarantee supported by the normative frameworks of Brazilian education. It is essential that the school plays its formative role in guiding topics about sexuality, as prevention and awareness are still the best ways to support young students in the face of issues involving health, well-being, Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), and early pregnancy. This study aims to create Comics (Comic Books) on sexual and reproductive health among adolescents from a School in the State of Alagoas, using design thinking (DT) to elaborate their narratives and build comics. Our study will involve two high school classes, one from the first and one from the second year. We will use design thinking in both classes to collectively design narratives and characters from comic books that identify with the students. Questionnaires of prior knowledge and also at the end of the research will be applied to assess the effectiveness of the teaching-learning strategy. Throughout the application of the design stages, the entire sequence of pedagogical actions will be qualitatively evaluated. Thus, it is expected to obtain an educational product that is a series in comics, about teaching biology and sexual and reproductive health, which fills the gaps in the debate at school and that can be used in different school contexts.
