SUMMARY:

Autonomy in learning stimulates one of the most fascinating and challenging processes of transformations experienced by the students in the construction of knowledge. Therefore, it causes the teachers to rethink practices and change routines in the promotion of an investigative teaching, especially when the perception about Botany does not culminate in a formative learning. In light of the above, this research seeks to use a ludic proposal, within an investigative teaching strategy, so that the students, by their own elaboration, can substantiate the understanding of the form and function of the vascularization in plant organisms. The research will be conducted with students from the third year of high school from Escola Estadual Professor José Quintella Cavalcanti in the municipality of Arapiraca, State of Alagoas. The students will: 1) be encouraged to problematize the conditions for the water transport in plants, precipitation and temperature on Earth; 2) elaborate hypotheses to solve the problems such as the probable existing differences between the height and the benefits caused by the roots in the humidity of the soil; 3) in teams, register questions associated to the knowledge built, including researches that interconnect the forces involved in the transport of sap and its relation with the Biosphere; 4) build modeling paste archetypes and card bingo in order to test their hypotheses. Knowledge questionnaires will be applied at the beginning and at the end of the research in order to assess the efficacy of the learning strategy. Thus, the strategy is intended to contribute to the study of Botany, representing a favorable moment to gain knowledge, fun and motivation in the construction of a meaningful learning.
