SUMMARY:

The interpretative trails allow the instant union of theory and practice, which facilitates the understanding of the environment, instigating the students' perception and sensitization. Based on the proximity of the Professor Sebastião Felisberto de Carvalho do Manguezal State School, and the existence of a trail in this biome, there was a need to conduct a survey with the students of that school, aiming to verify if the formatting of this trail, through a investigative approach, can be used as a teaching strategy. The interpretive trail to be formatted will allow the practice of environmental education practices for students at the Sebastião Felisberto de Carvalho School, as well as for the municipal schools and their surroundings. Investigative practices will be used to format the trail, prioritizing teamwork using meaningful and collaborative learning as pedagogical strategies. First, students will be divided into small groups where each group will be responsible for conducting research on specific issues relating to the mangrove area in question, such as: fauna, flora, abiotic, ecological factors and the importance of the mangrove. Among the strategies used, a round of conversation will be held with the shellfish gatherers who frequent the trail. On average, five meetings will be held with the groups, each meeting will make it possible to raise new questions and possible solutions. Subsequently, each group will define the stop points for explanations, then the groups will meet again to format the trail and produce the online booklet that will have the purpose of guiding educators to guide their students on the trail.
