SUMMARY:

Microbiology is the area of science that studies all aspects of microorganisms, which can be eukaryotes, such as algae, fungi and protozoa; prokaryotes, such as bacteria and archaea; or acellular, such as viruses, viroids, and prions. Due to the lack of pedagogical material in schools, an outdated initial training and/or lack of offers of continuing education courses, the content of microbiology is often presented in a very superficial way to basic education students. Considering that the teaching of Biology in High School is guided by the Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC), which encourages the application of valuing student protagonism in solving everyday problems, the objective of this project is to use active methodology for teaching and learning. of microbiology with the theme “Microorganisms that surround us” in a 2nd year high school class, at Escola Estadual Graciliano Ramos, located in Palmeira dos Índios, Alagoas. For this, a didactic sequence will be elaborated in the model of rotation by stations, promoting the discussion of scientific knowledge and teaching by investigation. The stations are called: playful, to approach fungi through a card game; experimental, to understand the prokaryotic microbiota present in living tissues and inanimate matter; technological, which will bring protozoology content; short film, with video about viruses and mental mapping; and creative station, which will contextualize different microorganisms and where students will have to build a prototype and participate in a card game. The evaluation of the research will take place through a qualitative approach through observations, questionnaires and interviews previously approved by the Research Ethics Committee of Universidade Federal de Alagoas. In this proposal, the teacher will be a facilitator for the teaching of microorganisms in High School, highlighting the expectations, reflections and challenges faced.
