SUMMARY:
The main objective of this work is to use the theme “Unconventional Food Plants (PANCs)” during Biology classes, using the investigative approach and verify such contribution in the respective theme, in order to encourage students to seek knowledge about this type of plant. plants and analyze which of these are present in the school surroundings and in their communities, in addition to their dissemination to the school community through the final product, which will be the holding of a gastronomic fair and the production of a fanzine with the main recipes used and created by them using these plants found in their community, arousing more interest in people and encouraging their use to improve the quality, accessibility and sustainability of food in this population. This research has a qualitative, exploratory nature, as it aims to connect the student subject with the Non-Conventional Food Plants in the region where they live, trying to rescue a cheaper and more diversified means of food production. This is a descriptive research with an inductive nuance, as it seeks to encourage the search for knowledge about the subject by students, in a scenario of a society in which there is a growing appreciation of agriculture based on monoculture and the loss of diversification of agriculture. food productivity and a consequent drop in menu variety.
