This work aims to promote the learning of biology in high school
through teaching by investigation of domestic insects, since these insects are
constantly present in the daily lives of students and the entire school community. The choice
of teaching by investigation was due to being a strategy where the student becomes
protagonist of the production of their knowledge and development of skills and
skills necessary for scientific literacy and more efficient citizenship training. A
