TEACHING GAMES AS A TOOL FORTHE TEACHING OF UNITS OF PHYSICAL MEASURES AND QUANTITIES
Measures units; Contextualization; Learning Methodology; Previous knowledge.
In this work we will present a research proposal on the Units of Measurements and Physical Quantities and their importance as a basis for teaching physics in high school. The idea is to propose a practical approach to the learning of Units of Measurements and Physical Quantities always related to the physics content covered in the classroom. Practical activities will be carried out, seeking contextualization, using measurement instruments, when possible, and also the concepts of the Unit of Measurement and Physical Magnitude, showing their importance for the physical concepts and for the learning of the contents. For this, we will adopt a methodology in which students are encouraged to seek knowledge from their previous experiences, and thus can build a new scientific knowledge with meaning for their daily lives. The proposal is to present the concepts of Units of Measurement and Physical Quantities as fundamental prerequisites for the other concepts of physics through a didactic game, and not in a commonly presented way, as if it were a branch dissociated from other concepts of physics.
