Águas: An interdisciplinary and awareness tour on the banks of the São Francisco River
Water, Interdisciplinary, Chemistry, Geography, Teaching-learning.
The approach practice in high school continues to be predominantly disciplinary, with little or no dialogue between the various areas of knowledge, preventing the integrated analysis of real problems, making it difficult to relate concepts, procedures and attitudes in different disciplines. Given this scenario, the present work proposes the interdisciplinarity of two curricular components: Chemistry and Geography, using water as a central theme for the development of the teaching-learning process. In this context, the main objective is to awaken environmental awareness through interdisciplinary dialogue, bearing in mind that the Federal Constitution in its article 225, item V determines that it is up to the public power to promote environmental education at all levels of education. The methodology will be developed with students from the 1st year of high school at Escola Estadual Bráulio Cavalcante, located in the city of Pão de Açúcar/AL, bordered by the São Francisco River. The methodology aims to carry out a class walk through the waters of the São
Francisco, noting the socio-environmental impacts related to the use and management of water; Integrated application of chemistry contents such as (Physical quantities: mass, volume, density, temperature, pressure and heat; Water properties - physical states; Physical and chemical transformations; Substances and Mixtures); and geography (watersheds; Biomes; Use and management of water resources; Impacts of human activities
in the hydrosphere; Climate changes; Soil types and Pollution). Systematization of the results of the tasks developed during the classes and elaboration of the booklet. And, finally, the exhibition of the work in a scientific exhibition and publication of the booklet on the school's blog. As a result, it is hoped that this work can contribute to a critical-reflective formation of students, in this way we will prepare the individual not only for his exercise in citizenship, but also qualifying him for the job market, minimizing the difficulties of learning and expanding the paths of reflection and elaboration of new possibilities for students.
