SUMMARY:

This work seeks to survey technologies in the context of kitchen utensils, verify the availability of products in this market and carry out a prospective study in academic and patent databases. It aims to verify the technical, economic and commercial viability of a new product, aimed at improving and agility in the use of carton packaging in food products. A theoretical basis, a market study and technological prospecting are presented, related to cooking utensils and related technologies. It is possible to notice the growth in the number of patent families for countries China, the Republic of Korea, the United States, the European Patent Organization and Japan, but the dominance of the technology is found in Eastern countries. This quantity indicates the innovative efforts that have been made by different countries, attesting to the concern with the innovation of these products. The importance of
innovation is observed to guarantee a prominent position in the market, aiming to expand and develop new products.
