SUMMARY:

The expression artificial intelligence - AI first appeared in 1957, at an academic conference created by John McCarthy at Dartmouth College. Currently, artificial intelligence can be related to computerized machines that perform activities that were commonly linked to the cognitive functions of the human mind. Furthermore, in recent years there has been steady progress in technical evolution in the field of robotics and AI-related software, from humanoid robots to agents used for predictive policing or medical diagnosis, especially those using computer vision. That said, in 2022, the Questel Orbit platform registered a cumulative growth of 3,105.7%, in patents deposited, worldwide, with the application of this technology, when compared to 2010. Therefore, considering that, in the last Over the years, the number of patents on computer vision has expanded internationally, the following problem emerges: what would be the state of the art of Brazilian technologies related to AI from the perspective of computer vision? In this context, emerges the objective of analyzing the state of the art of Brazilian technologies related to AI from the perspective of computer vision. Therefore, the study is configured as a basic research and is classified as descriptive with a quantitative-qualitative approach. Furthermore, with regard to the data collection process, there was a systematic literature review and documental research, using research protocols. In this sense, the Web of Science and Scopus bases were chosen. As for patent prospecting, at the international level, the Questel Orbit patent platform was used, and at the national level, the INPI platform was used. Thus, we initially present the results obtained by means of the aforementioned bases, in line with the pre-established research protocols, thus, there are 105 scientific articles published in Brazil and 34 Brazilian patents related to AI under the focus of the computer vision. Finally, it is expected to correlate the theoretical results achieved with trends and market opportunities with computer vision artificial intelligence.
