SUMMARY:

This work aims to create a center for research, development and innovation in the red ceramicsector in conjunction with the Federal University of Alagoas. The main beneficiary is IndústriaCerâmica Alagoas, located in Murici, and with the possibility of partnering with other agents, suchas SINDICER-AL, SEBRAE and SENAI. The proposal opens a range for the technologicalpromotion of the ceramic sector in the State of Alagoas; This nucleus is expected to promote andcarry out scientific, development and innovation studies with the transfer of technology and thedevelopment of more sustainable processes and products. In the UFAL environment, theparticipation of professors and students from the courses of Architecture, Design, and IndustrialChemistry is indispensable for the development of the nucleus activities; in the Ceramic Industryof Alagoas the technical and laboral support for the practice of the studies and experiments will beprovided. The legal instrument proposed will be the Cooperation Contract between UFAL and theCeramic Industry of Alagoas, making it possible for them to invest their own resources toimplement the results of the research, development and innovation proposed by the Center
