SUMMARY:

Technological innovation has received significant attention in the literature in recent decades, so that the relevance of the interaction between government, industry and academia is widely disseminated in the productive sector. However, the other actors that act in the intermediation of efforts to pursue technological innovation, such as the Support Foundations and the Technological Innovation Centers, have not been the object of such common studies in this context. This research aimed to analyze the interactions between UFAL, government and the productive sector carried out with the intervention of Fundepes, in the context of technological innovation and to propose an updated regulation to the current national legal framework of ST&I. The data collected are of a qualitative and quantitative nature, with a descriptive approach through case study. As a result, the publication of an article is presented with the review of the National theoretical and technical framework of UFAL, the survey of the technical framework of Universities in the Northeast Region and the diagnosis of the UFAL and Fundepes projects executed in the last 10 years that subsidized the elaboration of the normative that can be applied within the institutional scope of UFAL. The results seek to contribute to the identification of opportunities for cooperation between UFAL and the productive sector in the perspective of the Triple Helix, identification of challenges and possible alternatives for strengthening these relationships, as well as governance by the University. In addition, it is expected to contribute to the formulation of public policies and institutional strategies that promote innovation and influence regional development.
