SUMMARY:

Introduction: Prenatal care is a set of actions aimed at the health care of the mother-child binomial during the pregnancy process as a way to enhance and qualify the care of this public in order to avoid possible complications during pregnancy , in childbirth and puerperium, in addition to the negative outcome of maternal and/or infant death. In addition, it is necessary to assess the quality of prenatal care in the perception/satisfaction of pregnant women with these processes. Objective: To know the perceptions, expectations and feelings of pregnant women about prenatal care in a Family Health Strategy in the rural area of the city of Atalaia/Alagoas. Method: This is a qualitative, descriptive study carried out with 10 pregnant women enrolled in the territory of a family health strategy in the rural area of the city of Atalaia/Alagoas, during the year 2022. Data will be collected through the pregnant woman's booklet of the unit and through open interviews that will be organized in electronic spreadsheets to characterize the profile of pregnant women in the unit. The interviews will be conducted in person, following the standards recommended for the prevention of transmission of Covid 19. The script will consist of 10 open questions prepared by the researcher. These will be recorded and transcribed for analysis using the Thematic Content Analysis Theory. The Project will be submitted to the Ethics Committee of the Federal University of Alagoas following the resolutions 466 / 566 / 510 / 580 of the CEP/UFAL research project submission process involving human beings.
