INTEGRAL HEALTH OF LESBIANS, GAYS, BISEXUALS, TRANSVESTIS AND TRANSSEXUALS IN BRAZIL: A STUDY IN THE LIGHT OF INFORMATION SCIENCE
Health information; Health policy; LGBTQIA+; Information Science – LGBTQIA+
Sexuality is approached by medicine, anthropology, biology, history and psychology, each area of knowledge discussing it according to its peculiarity. Thus, it is necessary to reflect on the history of human sexuality, following the evolution of society over historical periods, as well as science has been problematizing this knowledge, especially Information Science, as it is considered an interdisciplinary science. Public health policies have gained ground since 1988 with the Brazilian Constitution, when its constitutional text defines the principles for implementation and implementation of care with regard to the health of the Brazilian people. The comprehensive health policy for lesbians, gays, transvestites and transsexuals emerged in the face of social movements that discussed the need for humanized care to people who were inserted in this context, until the ministerial decree 2,836 of December 1 2011, presents the guidelines regarding service to the health services of this population. In this sense, this research aimed to analyze the scientific literature in the field of Information Science published in Brazilian journals A1, A2, B1 and B2, from 2010 to 2020 and in the Annals of the National Meeting of Research in Information Science - ENANCIB about health LGBTQIA+ and its relationship with the National Comprehensive Health Policy aimed at this population. This is a descriptive research with a qualitative and exploratory approach, whose analysis methodology was based on an integrative review. For selection of articles, the expressions were used: sexual diversity, sexual orientation; gender orientation, sexual orientation, LGBT, LGBTQIA+, GLS, gay, lesbian, transvestite, transsexual and LGBT health. The results identified that only one journal had a higher incidence of discussion on the topic, which was the Electronic Journal of Communication Information & Innovation in Health – RECIIS (QUALIS B1) of the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation, with an article published in 2013, three articles published in 2019 and only one in 2020. In ENANCIB, the LGBTQIA+ theme appears in some work groups, with greater incidence in Work Group 11 – Information & Health, presenting three articles (2015, 2016 and 2019). The discussions of the authors of the works, both in the selected journal and in the ENANCIB articles, show the importance of addressing the needs of these groups, inclusive treatment in the health area and in specific research on the subject. We consider that the scientific production on the subject in the area of Information Science is incipient, also portraying little research, but it is relevant, because in this area that has as its object of study information, it is necessary to contemplate the access of these users in the direction of correct information about your health and other needs on the subject.
