Information management in electronic bidding processes in a federal university

The electronic auction is a form of bidding for the acquisition and contracting of common services and its use is mandatory by public bodies, including Federal Universities. The electronic bidding process consists of documents that contain information, a strategic resource used for organizational learning and better decision-making. For the information to be used properly, it is essential to manage information to identify needs, search, organize, distribute and use information. This research aims to analyze how information management occurs in electronic auctions at the Federal University of Alagoas. The research will be descriptive with a qualitative approach, using documentary data collection and interviews with servers who work in the process. Content analysis will be used as a method of data analysis. The research is relevant because by identifying how information management takes place in the institution, it can bring improvements in the use of information, in the development of information products and services based on the informational needs of purchasers.
