SUMMARY:

This text is part of an ongoing research that aims to analyze how observatories of Industry
Federations in Brazil use concepts and techniques in information visualization for building their interactive
panels, as well as in their information dissemination processes - whether represented in cartography,
infographics, reports, mock-ups, metadesign, bulletins, among others. It has a basic, qualitative, exploratory,
bibliographic and documentary character. The objects of analysis are the observatories of the Industry
Federation of the states of Ceará, Santa Catarina, Paraná, Mato Grosso and Espírito Santo, which have
consolidated processes according to the conceptual model of the observatory used for analysis (GOMES et al,
2016). Thus, this research is expected to result in the consolidation of best practices of these observatories in
terms of information visualization, with the intention of presenting a conceptual model of information
visualization for industry observatories.
