. This study seeks to increase the visibility of the issue of memory and representation of the female gender in society and, specifically, in the military environment. Under the light of Information Science and authors such as Halbwachs, Nora and Le Goff, this work aims to understand what and how the documents and information sources that keep the memory of the female figure in the Military Police of Alagoas are organized from the entry of the pioneers of the corporation from Alagoas.
