INTRODUCTION: Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) represent a major health challenge, being the leading cause of death worldwide. It is known that its incidence is directly linked to classical risk factors, such as: hypertension, diabetes, smoking, family history, sedentary lifestyle, obesity and high cholesterol levels. Other conditions, such as age, gender, and sociodemographic issues, may increase or decrease the chances of cardiovascular events. When considered patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) on hemodialysis (HD), CVD has a high prevalence and is the leading cause of death in this group of patients. In this population, cvd mortality is 20 times higher than in the general population, since these patients live in a pro-inflammatory state that contributes substantially to morbidity and mortality, in a process of acceleration of atherosclerosis. Although there are many markers and inflammatory mediators found in ckD patients to promote CVD, interleukin 1 (IL-1), IL-6, C-reactive protein and tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNFα) stand out. OBJECTIVE: The present study aims to evaluate the association of cardiovascular risk and inflammatory profile in patients with chronic kidney disease on hemodialysis. MATERIALS AND METHODS: This is an observational cross-sectional study to be conducted in four stages: 1st application of socioeconomic, demographic and clinical questionnaires; 2nd data collection in medical records (biochemical tests); 3rd blood collection and measurement of inflammatory cytokines; and 4th cardiovascular risk assessment. After collection, the data will be periodically entered into RedCap® and, after the database is constructed, tabulated in Excel Software spreadsheets and® processed in the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) Software
