SUMMARY:

The object of the dissertation is dealing with knowledge about agroecology in the initial grades of basic education. It is included in PPGEFOP. The problem is related to the social function of the school, increasing students' theoretical capacity and dealing with knowledge of agroecology. The research problem is: Considering the systematization of agroecology knowledge, how this knowledge is being developed in public schools, especially at the Durvalina Cardoso Pontes school, Santana do Ipanema, its contradictions and possibilities for overcoming. The research questions are: (1) what knowledge is recognized as knowledge about agroecology? (2) What is the reality of dealing with knowledge about agroecology at the Duvalina Cardoso Pontes School, its contradictions; (3) What are the possibilities for dealing with knowledge in the school curriculum? The general objective is to present a systematization of the recognized knowledge about agroecology and the possibilities of dealing with this knowledge in the initial series. Specific objectives: (1) Knowledge recognized as agroecology; (2) the reality of the school curriculum; (3) possibility of dealing with agroecology knowledge at school in the initial grades. The theoretical methodological path will be based on critical historical pedagogy. The methodology will involve bibliographical revisions and analysis of documentary content. The data sources will be references on knowledge of agroecology and pedagogical theory. In addition, we will have the PPP documents and the School's curriculum as a data source. The instruments will be content analysis and document analysis. The data will be displayed in tables, tables and graphs. The analyzes will take into account the theory of knowledge that requires the relationship and nexus between what was found and its historical determinations.
