SUMMARY:

The problem of this investigation is the training of teachers in pedagogical courses. The research problem concerns the foundations of the pedagogical theory of the pedagogy course at UFAL Arapiraca. To this end, it raises three research questions: (1) The history of teacher training, especially of pedagogues and specifically of the Pedagogy course at UFAL Arapiraca; (2) The guidelines that have guided the training of pedagogues to date; (3) The UFAL Arapiraca Pedagogy Course, its history, the guidelines that guide the course and its pedagogical theory. The objective is to present an explanatory synthesis on the current situation of pedagogy courses, especially that of UFAL, Arapiraca, identifying contradictions and indications of overcoming possibilities. The specific objectives are: (1) Retracing the history of teacher training and in particular the UFAL Pedagogy Course; (2) Criticizes the curricular guidelines for training teachers and pedagogues; (3) Analysis of the UFAL Pedagogy Course, its contradictions and overcoming possibilities. The theoretical methodological path is based on historical-critical pedagogy and the delimited purposes are as follows: (1) bibliographic review on history based on the review of the bibliography and documents of the pedagogy course, (2) the guidelines that guide the courses of teacher training and, in particular, pedagogues. The research instruments will be: content analysis and document analysis. Our working hypothesis is that there is a theoretical retreat in the training of pedagogues that can currently be identified in the official proposals for curricular guidelines, in the proposals for dividing the pedagogy course, in the creation of professional councils and, in the lack of consideration in the justification of the course, with emphasis and priority on critical pedagogical theories, including historical-critical pedagogical theory.
