SUMMARY:

This dissertation deals with the Pedagogical Residency Program of CAPES in the training courses for Geography teachers in the state of Alagoas, from the Geography subprojects developed at the Federal University of Alagoas (UFAL) and the State University of Alagoas (UNEAL), aiming to analyze the interfaces between the Pedagogical Residency Program (PRP) and the training of Geography teachers in the public universities of Alagoas from the pedagogical praxis. Our research is carried out by methodological guidelines of qualitative approach, through: bibliographical survey about the program, which is our research object, relating it to the theoretical framework about the praxis and teacher training; and analysis of documents around the guidelines of the PRP in 2020 (Edicts and Ordinances), the HEIs (Institutional Projects, Geography Subprojects, Political Pedagogical Projects of the Geography courses) and the experience reports produced by the residents, from the conception of Laurence Bardin's content analysis. We found, in part, that the literature points to a close relationship between the design and development of the Pedagogical Residency Program with the idea of an initial teacher training based on praxis, and we infer that there are five fundamental knowledge to teaching practice in the globalized world that can enhance the initial training of Geography teachers from the PRP.
